Gather in the Living Room for Fall

Welcome to my Gathering Room

and

Happy Fall Friends.

I just finished a little cork banner
that reads
GATHER.

I simply stenciled the letters
right on the thin cork flags
and
painted the checks at the bottom to complete.

I strung jute through the flags
and
it was ready to hang from the mantel.

I added a tall bundle of wheat to fill an urn.
I love the soft color and the dried element.
I really enjoyed working with the thin cork.

Little  timer lights strung through a garland of leaves
come on each evening at the same time.

Ceramic pumpkins are tucked in among the leaves.

To the mantel top I placed
a Georgia O'Keeffe print
of Orange Poppies.

I got this a few years ago in Santa Fe when I visited the
Georgia O'Keeffe museum.
She is one of my favorite artists
and her work always inspires me.
I had this print matted and framed
and love it in the fall season.

To the sides of the print I have a pretty piece of pottery
with a toile style accent.
I love the distress style of this bisque treasure.

And another tall pottery vase, a gift from my son several years ago.
The color and blend of this piece is one of my favorites.

On the hearth, I simply filled a wire basket with harvest accents
and a large stone acorn.

But my favorite little treasure
is my little grey mouse "Doose"
My mother made him many years ago and a special piece I hold dear.
You never know where he will be napping.

Home and cozy.
This pillow was a recent find at JoAnn's.
The fabrics for the letters are wool blends.
The animal print throw is ready to curl up with along with a good book.

Across the room a vintage hutch from the late 1890's.

A collection of vintage books with fall candle and white pitchers.

Design Books always handy to inspire through the fall season.

My garden angel Della Dear, wears a wreath for the season.

A few views from around the room.
Cozy in the evenings
and even though it's still too hot
for a fire~~
My  flameless timer candles give a special glow from the fireplace.

Love the stitch work on this French pillow.
It works well to accent the color of the season.

A Gathering Room for Fall.

Thank you for visiting.

Have a great first weekend in Autumn.

~Be Blessed~
