SPRING TUSSIE MUSSIE CHARM!

I am so thrilled to offer these once again for spring. These romantic tussie mussie's are made from hardboard cones that where used in another life for threads or wools. They are perfect for designing, painting and displaying in your cottage home. In Victorian times, tussie's were used for holding flowers in a bouquet. Today we find them darling to display in our homes, fill with goodies to give, faux flower picks to decorate with adding charm and romance to any space. Below I have added the current selection to my eBay store. From roses to Victorian ladies, they are a treasure. YOU BEAUTIFUL DOLL TUSSIE, ICE CREAM CONE WITH A CHERRY ON TOP!

SPRING INSPIRATIONS FROM THE PAINT PALETTE

Spring is on the way here in the lone star state. One day it is 85 degrees and the next day 40 degrees. So Spring is trying to arrive and in the meantime I am inspired to paint the delicate and fresh treasures I love to offer in my boutique. Eggs, Eggs, and more eggs. Bunnies, chicks, roses and cottages all speak spring to me, and my studio is buzzing with ideas. New spring tussie mussies are also finished and on the way. I will be sharing a peek at those later in the week so stop back soon.

Inside of the china egg trinket keepsake are roses in the bottom! Thank you for your visit and THINK SPRING!!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Love and Romance, Hearts, Roses, Cards, Jewelry and let's not forget Chocolates, all make their way around to dozens of deserving hearts nation wide. This is a special day, but more important then the gifts, is the feeling you receive from that someone special. My DH had to be gone today, but he made sure I started the day off with a singing message he left for me on the answering machine, followed by one dozen white roses with a red/pink one in the center. A heart box of candy and beautiful card. Oh so special!! (thank you so much honey, the roses are beautiful) He is my hopeless romantic and I just wanted to share with you my pretty roses today. I hope wherever you are, your day is special and filled with love, meaning and maybe some chocolate!!

This sweet heart is a vintage piece that belonged to my mother. As you can see the heart is surrounded with pearls and a pink gemstone in the center. I wore this today with pink! Thank you mom!!

TREASURED EARLY BIRTHDAY GIFT!

WOW! My dear friend Lorri surprised me the other day with a special gift for my birthday. She is a beautiful decorative artist and hand painted this gorgeous keepsake box with a beautiful lilly. We share only a few days between our birthdays the end of Feb. and the first of March. I was going to wait to open the pretty package on the 28th, which is my day, but, I could not stand it, I had to open it early.

This gorgeous box is basecoated in a rich soft black finish and accented with an elegant lilly hand painted on the lid. The colors are rich and beautiful. Her shading and placement is just perfect and I just love it.

Boxes are something I love anyway, so this one is very special. I decided to fill this treasure with vintage gloves that belonged to my mother and grandmother.

Lorri ,if you visit here, I love this my friend and will cherish it always. Thank you so much.

Now, I opened the gift early, but, I am not moving the age up any earlier then I have too. LOL

MAILBOX TREASURES!

My mail carrier brings the best treasures and today was one of those special days when something pretty arrived from Connie of Rose Porch Designs and blog~Living Beautifully. Recently she has been designing gorgeous aprons and she had one I could not live without. It was a shabby rose with black check accents and beautiful details. Wow, does Connie ever make the prettiest aprons. I tell you, her workmanship is awesome. So today it arrived and I was more then delighted to add this gorgeous creation to my cottage.

I also recently entered her give away on her blog for a pretty hanging tea cup that she created. I never win anything, but, to my surprise I won and that was also in the box. Talk about another beautiful piece. It is just darling with a pretty rose pattern and filled with moss, dark pink rose and leaves all tied with a sheer white ribbon for hanging. I can't wait to put this pretty in a place of honor too.

And lastly, she sent me a pretty french inspired soft burgundy box with bees scattered all around, just because she thought I would enjoy it. And, truly I do. I love boxes and I have already placed this one on the tub ledge filled with a few goodies for a luxury bath. That may not happen, but it sure looks good. LOL!

Thank you for letting me share my mailbox treasures. Take a moment and visit Rose Porch Designs from my list of favorite blogs below to the right, and then link to her ebay store to view more goodies made by Connie. Connie is also the group leader to Pretty Romantic Homes on ebay. This week she is featuring a series about Cottages, indoors and out, on her blog. She has some beautful inspiring pictures to share. Don't miss this special series!
Thank you my friend!

The above picture is our master bathroom tub area. The walls are soft light yellow with dark pink, soft pinks, red and sage accents. The combination is soft and pretty and follows into the bedroom attached. I will show more pictures of that at another time.
