Hi Friends

homes, recipes and more!!

Please join us all week with links each day and be inspired!!

Our Hostess is Katie from,
Let's  Add Sprinkles!

It's so much fun to be apart of the Texas fall blog hop tour
and today I'll share a few snippets from around my home!
I decorated with a less is more approach this year
adding fall touches throughout
and  cozy accents to  inspire the season with a touch of aqua.

I believe the welcome begins right at the front door
so I always bring a touch of the season to the porch.

If you've followed me for long,
you know I always add flowers of the season to my door urn
with a little greeting.
This season I've accented with sunflowers and a greeting to
welcome fall!!

Walking up to the door and to the right,
is a flower cart I accent with a seasonal vignette.
I've added a variety of faux pumpkins
with a metal rooster and mums nestled in
the bushes.
These can tolerate the heat without rotting away!

Stepping inside I welcome you to Rose Garden Cottage,
 please make yourself at home
as I share a few vignettes and accents from my entry,
dining room and through the front sitting room.

The table is set to enjoy a fall dinner.

Fall leaves grace this pretty plate.
For the charger, I painted it aqua using chalk paint and then sealed with varnish.
You can change any of your chargers to new colors with chalk paint and varnish.
Need a special color for your chargers? ~ just paint them and seal.

For the centerpiece, I've added a large wood basket that has been dry brushed white
and filled with an assortment of pumpkins and leaves.
Notice a few aqua pumpkins tucked about too.

Topping the vintage hutch, I've added a parade of white roosters and a garland of fall leaves.

To the side board, also in the dining room, I've added a few dried hydrangea from my garden
mixed with faux daisy mums in a pumpkin pitcher sitting on a few decorating books.

This year, I've used bits of aqua with my fall colors and really love it.
Blues are coordinating and complimentary colors for rust and orange so it works beautifully.
Here on the hutch, I'm using that combo of colors.

Inside the hutch among the dishes, I've added candle rings topped with light aqua pumpkins.

Walking into the living room,
I've added a variety of pumpkins and pears
in a long aqua tray.
The vintage plate is a fall country scene also painted with those colors.

Across the room we are ready to cozy up
on the sofa and count our Autumn Blessings like the pillow implies.
This pumpkin vase flower arrangement is one I designed several years ago.
This year, I added glittered white roses and painted the pumpkin white.

The mantel is graced by a simply banner!
Neutral tones keep with the decor in this room.
The center print is a Georgia O'Keeffe painting.
Love the colors for fall through Thanksgiving in her orange poppy!

A basket from Magnolia Market  (Fixer Upper)
is filled with lots of soft pretty pumpkins
in the colors I've used throughout.
Vanilla, brown, aqua and rust or orange.

Another spot to enjoy, cuddle up with a good book and dream!

All we need is a fire and a cup of hot chocolate!

Believe and Dream of beautiful autumn days ahead!

This little dark aqua shelf was a recent junkin find.
It's perfect topped with a little pumpkin
 and gorgeous cross stitch
gifted and created by my dear Texas friend and past fellow blogger
Stephanie from Angelic Accents.

Wishing you peace and plenty this new season.
