~~~MERRY CHRISTMAS WISHES~~~
Christmas day is upon us and I wanted to take the time to send best wishes to all my studio blog friends. I hope you share special times with family and friends, blessings for treasured memories and all good tidings in the new year.
As we look forward to a new year, I will share a few more pictures of recent gifts that Santa brought a little early this week.
From my dear friend Sue, this wonderful wreath with center white skating bear. This is so pretty and the story behind this creation is a sweet one. Here in my area, there is a mother and son who make these together using the funds raised to feed families during the holidays and bring Christmas to those who need the help. I am so thrilled to add this to my collection.
The sweet bear wears a blue skating outfit, ear muffs and holds a pair of white skates. The wreath has blue, silver and ribbons to coordinate. I love this decoration and the story behind it. Thank you so much Sue!
From Stephanie of Angelic Accents, I was treated to an assortment of pretties.
Stephanie made the adorable girlie girl mirror ornament with Miss Beazy's picture on the backside surrounded with pearls. It hangs on Miss Beazy's silver tree. The blue heart also made by Steph is darling. The gorgeous cross with easel is perfect for my cross collection and she also included a vintage style Christmas card and her design for a round robin page made from an old graphic and her added touches and glitter for sparkle. I love it all and each and every treasure has a special place in my heart and home. Thank you so much Stephanie. Miss Beaz also sends her special shake paw thanks. Stop by Angelic Accents to visit her and her gorgeous Christmas home.
From my sweet dear friend Amy from Bunny Rose Cottage, an assortment of special treasures. I am still reeling from all the treats. Amy included with her special gift, a canvas cupcake painting that is precious. She added lots of details, trims and shading. I am so proud of her painting and how far she has come with her ideas. Great job on the canvas Amy, I love it and it will take a special place in my home.
She also sent a darling rose box, angel ornament, forever friends ornament, little red Christmas tote, a special toile and rose tote, and to Beazy, a dear sweet bunny which she truly loves. Thank you so much Amy, I will treasure everything always. Beazy also sends her heartfelt and sit pretty thanks. Stop by Bunny Rose Cottage to visit Amy's pretty Christmas home.
And to make Christmas complete, the door bell rang for me to answer and find a beautiful Christmas Cottage centerpiece being delivered from my brother and sister in law and kids in Michigan. The gorgeous table accent is a ring of evergreens, white and red roses, carnations and topped with a beautiful lighted Christmas Cottage complete with roof top snow and a family standing inside by the fireplace. It is incredible and I will cherish this with my Christmas village for all times. Thank you dear family!
Beautiful Christmas pink card from Karen from Secondhand Rose, visit her to view gorgeous creations. She designs gorgerous treasures.
Lastly I will share with you a few decorating ideas using a few evergreens from the garden, an old vintage frame, vintage style card, ribbon and trims to add a quick Christmas decoration for no cost.
Thank you for visiting this Christmas and the whole year through. It is always wonderful to have you stop by and many thanks for your kind comments. Each and everyone is so enjoyed. Let us remember this season why we celebrate Christmas and the birth of the Christ Child. Till next year, Merry Christmas and have a safe, healthy and Happy New Year. See you again soon. Blessings always. Celestina Marie
CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR~Part 2~
Today is the Party Christmas Delights hosted by Deena, click on the link to the right to visit wonderful Christmas decor and treasures from other participants today. Have fun!
Welcome back to my home tour part 2. I have added simple touches throughout my home to reflect the holiday season. I hope you enjoy visiting me again as much as I enjoy having you here.
Large hand painted wood Santa stands on a window sill.
Sewing Santa stands near my sewing machine. He is so cute and was a gift from my Sister in law.
The above Santa's are a few from my collection. They are displayed all around the rooms. The pictures below are a few from our room we call The Library. It is filled with our books and I had to add a little tree here to keep us company in the evenings.
These next two precious dolls are made by my friend Randi from, In my Mother's name, They grace a bedroom and add a handmade touch to a vintage red room.
This sweet snowman plaque was designed and painted by my dear friend Lorri. She is a beautiful painter. This snowman sits a top a cabinet in a blue bathroom.
Silver bottle brush tree and a cluster of wood frosted trees sit on a vintage desk under my special and loved painting by Karen Harvey Cox. This is also avaiable in her etsy shop. Click on her blog in my right sidebar to see her wonderful hand painted treasures. Remember you can click on the picture to enlarge and see Karen's painting closer.
Pink wood Santa profile is made from a 2X4. I painted this many years ago. He holds a back pack filled with trims and ribbon.
The pictures below are from a night stand in a bedroom. The vintage bowl with old ornaments is the one used in my header. The angel is a vintage angel doll music box. It was my Mother's and is very precious. I believe it is from the early 1950's.
Carved angel with hand painting on her wings and dress.
I love having Christmas books around the house. This sweet story would be one you could read if you were a guest in my home. It graces the night stand in the red room.
Beaded red angel looks pretty standing next to a large vase of red and yellow silk poppies.
Dress form on a vintage dresser showcases vintage ornaments from the 40's.
This star Santa looks very old, but it is actually made from 5 bottle brush trees and centered with a santa face to make an ornament. I found this at Home Goods. I have it displayed on a vintage floor lamp from 1945.
Bathroom vanity with a display of sage green bottle brush trees and pink crystal bowl filled with vintage ornaments.
Texas snowman stands next to the old sewing machine drawer filled with Christmas cards. I painted this many years ago and it makes the perfect box to hold cards.
Mother of pearl kissing angels, made by my Mothers in the 70's.
It has been a full day. I have made a pot of homemade chili. Join me for dinner. It will hit the spot on a cold winter's day.
Beazy is pooped from all the decorating. She is sneeking a nap on the bed with one eye open, watching for momma to tell her to get off the bed. LOL!!
Thank you for stopping by to tour part 2 of my home tour. It has been so fun to visit so many blogers with wonderful Christmas home decor. I have gotten so many great decorating tips and ideas from the many lovely holiday blogs I have visited this week. The studio is winding down for the season, but I do have a couple pictures to share of new designs I created from extra tussie cones.
Inverted tussie cone hand painted with santa dreaming of Christmas, and roses painted on the sides and trailing around his back.
Tussie Santa with bird and nest top his head. Roses are painted on the back side for reversal after the holiday.
Till next time, Enjoy the season! Merry Christmas!~~Blessings Celestina Marie
