Studio Views

Welcome back to another Paint Palette Wednesday. This season has my studio humming with activity. It has been raining a lot the last 2 weeks, and of course you know, I love to work in the studio when it rains. The rain falling and streaming down against the windows makes for such a cozy feel inside the room. So for me that is an inspiration.

Lots of Christmas decor is on the way to my etsy shoppe and bonanzle, but I took a little detour with this sweet treasure.

This is an old vintage drawer that I found recently on a treasure hunt. In very good and sturdy condition I hand painted it antique ivory, with light pink stripes, shading, roses and lined with a pink rose fabric to complete. The glass knob was already on the drawer when I found it. I love these drawers and their usefulness for essentials, supplies or decorative accents.

Another fun box I painted was from a design I studied in one of my art books, Village Views by Gladys Neilsen. This will hold 3 coordinating ornaments with instruments to go along with the box. Starting with a paper mache box, I added music papers, sealed and then painted the angel. Added glitter, side stripes and lace trim to complete.

Cute little JOY snowmen set. This set has already sold, but a few more are on the way. These little cuties each hold a letter to spell JOY.

And, one of the last shabby pink pumpkins already spoken for. This one has a little charm angel sitting on a leaf.

Thank you for stopping by the studio today. Some of these and many other treasures for purchase can be viewed HEREand HERE
Hope you are having a great week and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow for Thrifty Thursday. Till then I'll be back in the studio, swinging a paint brush!
Smiles, Celestina Marie
