Creating With Music Gift Wrap

I was so excited to find rolls of music gift wrap on a recent trip to IKEA. So I purchased several rolls to wrap Christmas presents and to create with too.
Starting with a frame from my stash of treasures, I hand painted it all around with a soft cottage cream and then lightly distressed the high points with sand paper.
Next I cut the gift wrap to fit the 5X7 frame and glued it with modpodge to card stock to give it a sturdy weight.
To top the music paper I added a pretty vintage graphic from my collection leaving a border of the music paper showing all around.
Place back in the frame. I had the original glass so I added that back in place too.
Look how pretty placed on this side table.
Here is another idea using burlap as the background. The ideas are endless.
Now with the music gift wrap scraps, I created some pretty candle art accents. Using emergency candles found in the dollar store or drugstore these are perfect to create with and inexpensive tapers.
Wrap the paper around and glue in place using modpodge and then brush over top of the paper to seal in place. Next, I placed two candles together held in place with a little hot glue and embellished with medical gauze, crocheted flowers, silk flowers and lace ribbons. Lastly, I brushed all with a little sparkle glaze over the candle areas. I like this sparkle glaze when you don't want the glitter to shed all over.
Okay, one more idea. Roll a few pieces of the gift wrap. Glue together sort of angled for interest and tie with ribbon adding embellishments for a gift package topper in place of a bow. You could tie on a name tag around the little bundle too. So cute.
These little projects are quick, fun and easy. Happy Creating, Hugs, Celestina Marie
