Red Toile For Christmas

Hi Friends,
Hope you had a nice weekend.

Happy Monday!
I love Mondays and the start to a new fresh week.

We had warm weather on Saturday that quickly turned cool on Sunday
with a little drizzling rain.

Perfect cozy weather to bring in the spirit of Christmas.
Perfect to enjoy the decorations and relax with some Christmas music.

In my last post, I shared my white and creams shades of neutral guest room with simple little Christmas touches.

Today, before I take you back to the first floor to share my trees and the rest,
I'll show you another room with a few simple touches in my red toile guest room
just down the hall.

I love all colors of toile and it's timeless beauty, but red and black are my favorites.
This room is decorated in red toile and creams with a Waverly fabric design of roses.

Santa's hat was left behind last Christmas.
It looks pretty nice on my metal dress form.
The scarf is very vintage.

My grandmother crocheted it for me when I was in collage.

Yes I know, that makes me vintage right??

A few red touches and a vintage style Santa.
The lamps were my mothers from the 50's.
They are wood with milk glass and chimney shades.

Waverly drapes coordinate so nicely with the red toile.

A red beaded angel watches over guests during their stay.

This red rose plate is one I painted a few years ago and added the vintage lady graphic.

It reminds me to take time~
 and
 "stop and smell the roses."

A place to relax with a cup of tea in a vintage chair of red plaid.

Another painting I placed in a vintage style frame.

Like my mother and grandmother,
I love to stitch when I'm not painting and this dresser runner is simply soft red and white.

Sweet Dreams

I'll be back tomorrow to share one more cozy spot to dream away the holidays.

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share what I love~
