Gift of Spice Tea!

Hello sweet friends, Welcome to Tastey Tuesday. Today I want to share a recipe for spice tea that you can make ahead, place in pretty jars and give as a gift during the holiday season or winter months.

This is easy to make and here is the recipe.
~~Spiced Tea~~
2 cups sugar
2 cups instant orange tang
1 cup instant unsweet tea
1 package koolaide lemonade mix
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves (optional) I don't usually use cloves

Mix all together and store in air tight container.
To serve place 3 tsp. mix per cup boiling water.

It sounds like a lot of sugar, but when it's mixed with all the other ingredients, and you only use 3 tsp. per cup, it's not much. I have never tried to alter the recipe with Splenda or Sweet and Low. Not sure how that would work.

Here is an idea of how it looks placed in a pretty jar or tin. Here I have a cross stitch jar lid with a poinsettia. The skies the limit as to how you could present the tea. Even a pretty teaspoon would make it special. Add some tea cookies in a gift bag and what a nice gift that is easy and quick to make.

I have also painted pretty jars to fill with this yummy hot tea too.

Here is the best part, Give the recipe written on a pretty recipe card with the jar or tin, whatever you decide to gift the tea in. Then add on the back of the card this little poem.

(Because You Are Special)

If a hot drink you would wish~
take 3 teaspoons of this tasty mix.

With boiling water fill your cup~
stir, sit down, put your feet up.

Reflect upon the season's day~
upon the joys that come your way.

Remembering it's very true~
we thank you for the things you do.

You are such a special friend~
May your happiness this Christmas, never end!

I found part of the poem with my recipe cards years ago. Finished the little verse and added it to the gift. Not sure where it came from or who the author might have been. You can add the receivers name and yours at the bottom. Makes a great neighbor, teacher, friend or family gift that can be enjoyed throughout the season.

Hope you enjoy this and let me know if you make it.
As you might know, it is getting very busy in the studio. I have so many orders to fill and thanks to my BG (best guy) who did all the wood cutting this weekend and prep work, I may be able to get everything done and on time. What would I do without you honey? Thank you so very much for your help.

Thank you for stopping by and see you again tomorrow when I will share a few studio pretties. Till then, take good care and have a wonderful day.
Smiles, Celestina Marie
