My Mother loved pink roses and with every rose I paint, plant, or receive, I think of her. Over the years, my Mother sent to me many letters, cards, keepsakes and special treasures, just because she was special and shared a part of herself with me and everyone she knew.
Recently, I have thought a lot about those special keepsakes and when I viewed sweet Amy's "Mom's Keepsake Box" from, BUNNY ROSE COTTAGE, I knew it would be perfect for my collection.
When it arrived, I was so excited because it is so beautiful in person! She made it look very vintage with much love, care and so many details. Even a gorgeous cameo, which was among my Mother's favorites, is included on the side tied with pretty binding. Well, I will let you see for yourself in the pictures that follow. Thank you Amy, I love it! Go to my side bar and check out Bunny Rose Cottage for items in her etsy boutique!

A few past works~~dogwoods on a tray, hand painted study from many years ago! Hand painted garden rose angel with yellow bird. Sweet little bird clock, chickadee in the hydrangea, violets on a plate, and cross stitch roses on a tea towel.

My mom passed away eight years ago and I miss her everyday. She would have loved this keepsake box and I look forward to filling it with many treasured cards and pictures in honor of her and also add cards that I have received being a mom too.

Whatever your plans this Mother's Day, I wish for you or your special Mother, daughter, friend, aunt, grandma, or sister a great day filled with making or remembering wonderful memories.

Coming next week~~ Gorgeous Doors, Vignettes in High Places and Studio Views!
See you soon!
Blessings Always, Celestina Marie

Oh Celeste, I am crying. I feel so honored by this post. Just knowing that you would use something I made to hold beautiful items from your dear mom means everything to me. When I made this box, I had a sentimental feeling the whole time. It felt important to me. And I am so so glad that it went to you! I couldnt have hoped for it to be used in a more perfect way! Celeste, since I met you, you have been so good to me. Such a caring and supportive friend. Your mom did the most perfect job raising you and I know that she is up in heaven smiling with pride every day at you ~ the beautiful women she raised! I love you to pieces and think of you daily. I hope you have a beautiful Mother's Day.

Lots of love and hugs,

Dear Celeste,
Thank you so much for the lovely comments you always leave in my blog. It makes me very happy.
Everything you paint is remarkable. Have you ever thought of painting welcome signs. I sure could use one that said Welcome To Nutmeg Hill at my front door. Let me know. Have a day filled with love and happiness.
