WEDNESDAY RAINS AND FLOODING IN TEXAS!

The dry spell has ended as we are currently having a down pour of rain and much flooding all over my area in Texas. This is the rains from the hurricane in the gulf.
As you might know, I am buried in my studio and nowhere to go, but create. Love it! Although, a close eye on the flooding is always close. We are watching intently, because the water is filling up fast.

I did get a few pics of the rains so far and we are due for this the rest of the week.

So you can see, we are really getting lots of rain. We did need the moisture, but not this much!

In the meantime, I will be creating away to bring many new items to my shoppes soon and finishing the last of special orders.
Before I get back to the brushes, I want to share with you a sweet pillow I just purchased from my blogging friends Diane Knott and Holly Knott's shop on etsy.
It is the perfect little touch for my red guest room in color and finish. Diane created this one and her work is gorgeous.
Here are a few pics and the room it graces!

Diane also gifted me with one of her darling pear creations in the black toile for my studio. Oh it looks so yummy adorable with a few recipe cards she also included.

Thank you Diane, I love it!

Also, my new friend Kat from Shiny Moon Beams is having an earring contest and you can enter and read all about it HERE for more info.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving such kind comments. You all are very special!

See you again soon bloggy friends with more from the studio, visitor giveaway and shoppe treasures.
Blessings and Blue Skies be Yours,
Celestina Marie

Wow it is raining like heck there today isn't it? My brother lives in Navasota and I know he was hoping it was going to rain before his new garden dried up for good. I will have to call him and see if it's raining there.
Love the pillow, but of course everything Diane and Holly do is just beautiful!
I hope the rain stops before it floods, I will keep you guys in my prayers!

Wow you all are getting that rain! But even in the rain your home is so beautiful, sweetie and that pillow was just the perfect accent to a bedroom that is as lovely as inviting! Hoping you just get some wetness and nothing more. Thank you for visiting me and leaving such a sweet compliment...you are so gracious! Sending you big hugs under an umbrella...Beth

Hi Sweetie!
Oh My that IS a lot of rain. It sure doesn't seem that you get it the way you need it, huh?

Thanks so much for your sweet note last week. Gary had a good week. I am so late in getting back with everyone. M and I have been re-doing her room, for a College girl look. I am having a hard time today, as it's her first day and I cannot believe she is at this stage of her life. But so thankful she is staying at home for now.

Such lovely goodies, I will have to check those ladies out! Love that room! Red is my pick-me-up color.

Stay dry my friend and many hugs and love to you and L are being sent!
Love, Lorena

Hope everything fares well for you - we had so much rain several weeks ago but I live on a bit of a hill so no flooding for me. At least it is a good time to be inside painting and creating.

The pillow is gorgeous and looks great in your guest room.

Not even the rain could take away the beauty of your home. Your guestroom looks so warm and pretty and most inviting to kick off shoes and chill.
We are getting wind and chilly weather here. I am so not ready to give into Autumn, though. My husband is...He's is busy taking in flowerpots, trimming bushes and putting away my lawn ornaments!

Hi Celestina, I knew the rain was really falling and I wonder about you. Your pictures tell a very good story of what is happening. It hasn't got up to us yet, but they are talking that it may. We start off cool and warm up in the afternoon. It really makes you think that fall is definitely on its way. Have a great day and I hope you get the rain to stop for awhile. Your Missouri Friend.

I would gladly take some of that rain from you for up here! We're having a terrible wildfire in the mountains, about 12-15 miles from our house. It won't effect us, but it's so, so sad with all of the acres and homes that have been lost. It won't be contained for about 10 days they said. The firefighters need a long, solid rain, which unfortunately they likely won't get this time of year.

Hope all else is well with everyone. Love you all!

Got flooded and ran out a few years back by a flash flood here in Indiana. Came back to what looked like a war zone. Devastation everywhere. Homes destroyed and lives put on hold.
Sure hope the water lets up for you.
