Vignettes of Christmas!

Sharing Christmas through our home decor is such a big part of the holiday and I have really enjoyed visiting around blogland and viewing the many wonderful treasures displayed in celebration for the birth of the Christ Child.
I hope you find peace and joy this holiday as your spend time with family and friends in your decorated world for Christmas.

Welcome back to visit my home and a few more vignettes I have displayed with vintage treasures and natural elements. Let's peek in the window to view the tree with my sweet deer near by.

In the living room I have decorated the fireplace mantel with pine garland, cones, white berries, candlelight and gold deer overlooking a painting of the birth of Jesus. Across the room, on the hutch, I display each year the hand painted and designed nativity scene created by my mother. This is a cherished set.

In the library/family room I have another tree that holds treasured ornaments from all our travels over the years along with vintage ornaments and white birds.

This year I created glass block presents by frosting the glass, filling with white lights and adding ribbon and a bow. These are displayed under the tree in 3 different sizes.

The fireplace is decorated and the stockings are hung in hopes that Santa will visit here!

Help yourself to a Christmas book from my "Bowl of Books." Each year I take down Christmas books from the library shelves to share over the holiday with short stories, encouragement and wonderful Christmas pictures.

Favorite vintage ornaments displayed under a cloche on a vintage cake stand.

The staircase ledge with distressed whites and a favorite angel.

Table centerpiece in my kitchen using vintage ornaments with a candle and surrounded with cones from my magnolia tree, berries, sugared fruit and a few snowflakes.

A bedroom quilt with a hint of holiday.

And my cherished favorite, a sweet little sleeping mouse leaning against the apple he just filled his tummy with. This is a candle holder and given to me from my grandmother, many many years ago. I can still see her as she gave it to me. It is a true treasure that means so much.

Thank you for stopping by to share in a few more vignettes around my home. I'll be back again soon with some pics from my studio, shabby rose room and of course my Santa collection.

Don't forget my giveaway will be drawn Friday night the 10th. Still time to enter with the link on my right sidebar.

Have a wonderful December day.
Blessings always.

Your trees look amazing! Love the glowing shots at night.
Did you buy those glass gifts at the botton of your tree? I had one, given to me as a gift and the lights burned out. Were they hard to get lights into? I love the effect they have under your tree.
Everything looks beautiful, Celeste!
Hugs!

Dearest Celestina Marie,

That tour by you is like opening a book to your heart... Love the nativity scene that was created by your mother; hand painted so that's in your genes!
Those frosted glass blocks with lights and ribbon and bow are incredible. They really do bring the LIGHT into the world. Symbolic gesture and PRETTY too.
That bowl of books is a great seasonal idea as well!
And your cloche tops it off nicely.
You're very well organized and ready for the big day of Christmas!

Lots of love,

Mariette's Back to Basics

PS Oops that mouse is PRECIOUS and even more the memory... Smart grandmother for knowing how to touch you in such way that you ALWAYS remember her!
