Welcome To My Christmas Cottage

With Christmas Eve only 17 days away, I love to take the next couple of weeks to enjoy the holiday with family and friends and the blessings within my holiday cottage.
A time to close the door on my studio, give myself a break and relax for the season. My family and I celebrate traditions with the viewing of Christmas lights in our community, listening to beautiful Christmas music, spending time with those we care about and looking towards the new year.

Along with most people, we make a celebration of decorating our home too. This year, I took a simply yet less is more approach. We still have a lot to view, but decorations deliberately placed using natural elements of pine cones, holly, berries mixed with vintage and collectible ornaments.

Reds, greens, golds and silver give way to long time traditions we share throughout the season.
So I welcome you to visit my humble abode and to share in the treasures we hold most dear.

Miss Beazy Lee is here to greet you!

The entry filled with fresh poinsettias and Santa in his sleigh lighting the way.

As we turn to the right into the dining room, we are greeted by my 8 ft. slim tree filled with 48 Thomas Kinkaid cottages, handmade snowflakes, ornament gifts and lush red roses.

Up close and in front, I hang my 2 ornaments from days at the White House 1998 and 2004. These are very special and made so beautifully in winter scenes from our nations capital.

The dining table is set for a cozy December dinner. Using again elements from nature in the centerpiece found for a mere 10 dollars at Walmart. I added a little more to the natural ring, my own faux candle on a timer and this simple and inexpensive style looks like so much more.

For our silverware, I have taken stocking ornaments and used as a utensil holder. I found this a few years ago at Home Goods. They are beautiful and accented with natural color gemstones on sage, dark red, and rust backgrounds. Each guest has a different stocking.

Behind the table, I have graced the hutch with a candle and natural element showcase centerpiece. Also, adding a keepsake gold gilded angel and trees along the sides.

Thank you for sharing and your visit today. I will be back with lots more from my holiday home sharing my Santa Collection, Nativity Scene, Village Collection, more trees, vignettes and a few recipes too.
Till then, Have a special and blessed Sunday.
But before I go, Miss B wants to say thank you for coming by and till she meets you again, she'll be waiting and watching for Santa.

Merry Christmas from Texas,
Celestina Marie and Miss Beazy Lee!

Good Morning Celeste Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share, and to be greeted by Miss B herself. Oh thank you Miss B for the lovely tour. I am sure Santa will be bringing you something extra special this year. What a good girl you have been.

Oh Celeste I love your entry way, so welcoming and inviting. I love Santa in his sleigh and poinsettias, well you know I love those.

Your dining room looks fit for a King. I love the tree and your Thomas Kinkade ornaments how wonderful. I have Thomas Kinkade Santas, I still have to get that tree out for the holidays. We are still searching for many things that seem to have been put somewhere different than the rest.

I love this idea of using little stockings for the silverware. How elegant and special is that for each guest. So cute sweetie. That center piece is beautiful. Sometimes we can find the prettiest things at Wal-Mart for the holiday.

Oh I can't wait to see the rest of the tour. Take me along soon. I have so enjoyed my visit today. I am thrilled also to hear that you are finished for the season. You have worked much to hard sweetie. Enjoy the family and the season.

Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry

So lovely! Thank you for sharing. I see that you are a member of the Society of Decorative Painters, I need to pay more attention to my magazines! I'm a member as well, though not as long as you. I will keep my eyes open for your designs there. :-)

I just ADORE Miss B. It's times like this that I so miss having a dog in the house but after we lost our Savanna in the summer, I said that she was our last one.
I LOVE Thomas Kinkade and your houses are gorgeous!
I so enjoyed the tour of your beautiful home!!

Hugs,
