Winter Romance

Today begins shopping for the month of January with the shoppes of Make Mine Pink, themed, Winter Romance. A time when we spend cold evenings curled up with a warm throw, a good book and a cup of tea in a favorite teacup.

What does winter romance mean to you? For me, I also love to romance the idea of redecorating my home after the Christmas decor is put away, bringing out decorative decor with a hint of Springtime to follow.

Cleaning out cupboards and rearranging places for everyday items. Catching up on little projects waiting to be finished sitting beside a warm fire. Cooking wintertime meals for a romantic dinner by candlelight. And my favorite, cleaning out my studio after the hustle of the Christmas season and putting in a special touch of decor to inspire new creations.

Weekend mornings find my best guy and I enjoying our morning coffee or tea with calm music in the background while we visit about the week past. Walking with Miss B on a brisk winter morning only to hurry home for that second cup of tea.
The soft glow of my favorite lamp early in the morning before the sun comes up or late evening, is pure winter romance.

However you romance the wintertime, I hope you enjoy the little details that make this time of year special in some way. Whether we are trying to stay warm in the cold temps or shoveling snow, viewing life and our surroundings in a romantic way can bring memorable joys to share with our loved ones.

Blessings to you for Winter Romance and a month of cherished times.

Celestine,Winter romance is so easy for me to find and I do thank my lord. It's in the eyes of my husband of 33 years.Jan. and feb. are special to me because they are very quiet months for our family.Out of 17 of us there are no birthdays.Holidays of course are over,so the two of us hibernate in our little hobbit hole.

What a wonderful way to embrace putting away Christmas...and cleaning as you go...which is what I've done! It's always a challenge to know what to put out for decor! Hugs! ♥

As I put away Christmas, I get excited to re-do, refresh, and clean clean clean!
I also like the soft glow of little lights throughout my home, and comfort food for dinners. It is during the winter months, that I love to soak in a hot bubbly tub, and then slather on the lotions for my dry skin, get in bed and read or journal. We share a pot of coffee in the morning while watching the outdoor activity around us, and then in the afternoon, we have tea and cookies or sandwiches, or cake, or something.
Thank you for sharing, Celeste. Hope all is well. Am looking forward to checking out your etsy.

Celestine, how lovely your post is, so comforting the thoughts of winter romance. You definitely have inspired me to put away, re-arrange and to create. My hubby is putting finishing touches on my very own studio which I hope to be decorating by spring. I have visited your studio and it is very inspiring. So I will be posting come spring as I go along. Thanks for your lovely post.

Celestina, I loved your post. You are a girl after my own heart. I dearly love Winter. There is something so comforting sitting by a fire that my love built for me, sharing a cup of warm brew, talking & sharing. This to me is romance, this is contentment.
Hugs to you.

Dearest Celestina Marie,

As always it is a treat to stop by at your corner of the country. Always cheerful, always a meaningful story and always something pretty. Have you found anything for the yellow rose painting yet? Just wondering as this friend's birthday is on March 17. Now that the Christmas pressure is gone I dare to ask you.

Lots of love and if you like to see our home in the snow (2002) visit my blog of today.
