Fruit Inspiration for Tea Time Tuesday~

Welcome to another Tea Time. So glad you stopped by today. As you may know ~ from past visits, I have been away for a little vacation time. I am back now and busy as can be. Lots going on in my studio getting ready for the,"here before you know it" holidays. So taking a tea break for me is always inviting, and today, I want to share a new beautiful trio my best guy found for me on vacation in a wonderful antique shop we visited.

I loved this trio right away as this gorgeous set is painted with a fruit design on both sides of the cup, the saucer and the plate included with gold trim.. This set goes beautifully in my old world kitchen.

Both sides of the delicate cup is painted in different patterns.

The pretty saucer~

The gorgeous plate~

Makers Mark~

Serving us, I have added one of my favorite tea pots in blue and my handmade and painted sugar and creamer made by my mother nearly 35 years ago. I cherish these pieces because she made it and I love mixing pottery like this with more elegant pieces such as the trio. The tea pot reverses to a leaf pattern on one side and perfect going into the Fall days ahead~~ well we hope ahead. Still very HOT here!!

For our dessert, I thought yogurt and fruit were in order to balance out all the vacation feasting. So I have filled a lovely floral bowl that works so nicely with the trio in color and size. Vanilla yogurt, blueberries and strawberries, topped with finely chopped walnuts. Our tea is a tasty raspberry tea ~ Oh so yummy!

Well that was good and all gone too!!!

Please join our lovely hostess Sandi from Rose Chintz Cottage for the list of more participants and tea time hostess's. I will be doing a lot of catching up since away and I know it will be an inspiration to view the many tea related treasures. In the meantime, I am preparing to share pics from my time away and a few more gorgeous tea cups and saucers found along the way. And, as always you can find me, "swingin paint brushes" in my studio and creating new treasures with goodies I found on vacation.

Thank you for stopping by. Your visit and comments are always welcome and a blessing more then you know!
Till next time~

Hi Celestina Marie,

Lovely to come and visit you for tea today and what a lovely setting. The fruit design set, your best guy bought you is beautiful and how wonderful that you have the sweet set your Mother made.
The fruit with the accompaniment of the youghurt would be such a healthy start to the day.

Wishing you a happy new week

Dearest Celestina Marie,

Oh what a surprise to discover yet one more thing we have in common (aside from wearing our hair long...)! Your yogurt with fruits is to my liking too. Lately I'm only using the Trader Joe's non-fat Greek yogurt and that is so yummy. Good for us, and we do exactly the same after some rich days/weeks... letting the yogurt and the fruit clean our systems and balance it out. Smart.
Love your china, all so special and sentimental too. The teapot has a nice surprise with that leaf pattern!
Love to you,

Mariette

I love the damask on your blog!! I just purchased some fabric in damask black / white I will be making some pillows with. Love it. I adore the cups and saucers you show for your tea time. Have you tried Greek Yogurt? It's great and very low cal. I use it in our smoothies and for the dogs med delivery. Works like a charm. Hugs. Tammy

Oh wow Celestina Marie! What beautiful china indeed! I love those reliëf kind of cups with the fruits on it. The people of Bavaria make gorgeous things! I am lucky to have some of their beautiful chinaware too. It must be a little party to eat breakfast from plates and cups and saucers like that! Enjoy!! Hope you are doing well!! Have a great day ;-)

Hey Girl,
How's swinging those paintbrushes going? lol
Love your new tea set! Something I would buy because of the fruit. I have a little fruit in every room.
It reminds me to try to have the fruits of the Spirit in my life.
Glad you had a good time with your best guy!
Can't wait to see more of your trip.
Has your weather cooled at all?
We are bracing for storm Irene. Though we are in no danger, except lots of rain, the coast may get slammed.
Enjoy your day being creative!

OK, Dear Friend, you have made it very clear to me that it is TIME for me to begin having my hot afternoon teatime again! I think I've overdosed on iced tea and coffee. There is just nothing like the peaceful and serene occupation of an afternoon with a lovely teacup filled with a hot and steamy brew!

Now...to just decide which cup and saucer to use...perhaps the brown transferware, don't you think?

Blessings to you!
Diane

Hi Celeste, this is my second virtual cup today. I think I must take a break and pour myself a real one. Your pictures are beautiful.

Thank you for sharing. And don't forget, as with life, sip it all slowly, savoring every flavor.

Love and blessings.
