Soothing Evening Tea Time Tuesday

After a full work day, I find it very soothing in the late evening to enjoy a cup of tea to relax and end the day.
It also helps a sore throat, of which I am fighting at the moment. So the order of the evening is my favorite Earl Grey to do it's magic poured in one of my favorite cups in blue and white.

From the Spode Blue Room Collection, Botanical~ first introduced in 1820.
I love the blue background with wild roses in white with blue shading. Dark blue leaves and stroke work details. Reproduced from a hand engraved copper plate. Gorgeous.

Thank you for joining me for an evening tea as I relax and read. My tea is short this time due to my busy week but please visit our hostess Sandi from Rose Chintz Cottage for many more participants sharing in tea time. Sandi also has a list of many other dear blog friends that host this day.

See you again soon. Have a wonderful week full of the wonders of Autumn.

Dearest Celestina Marie,

What a brilliant idea indeed. It is sore throat season I guess, at least the struggle to suppress it with something soothing. What a gorgeous Spode Blue Room Collection, Botanical cup and saucer you use here... And the roses in the background make a perfect setting, together with your Chapter 3 reading.
You certainly know how to create a perfect composition; either on photo or in your paintings.
Love to you and have a productive week ahead.

Hi Celestine - I know what you mean about that evening tea. I need one now myself. I lost my voice over the weekend and had to teach all day today with a loud whisper. Allergies getting the best of my vocal chords. Hope you're feeling better . . .
Joy!

Celistina,
I really love your blue tea cup and saucer. The design on it is lovely. Funny, I just bought a blue cup yesterday at Home Goods and it was handpainted in Poland. For some reason, I think the prettiest tea cups are the blue ones. My china pattern for my wedding was even blue. Hope you feel better, my friend.

C, today I find your photos to be the star of the show. A beautiful book, roses & a hot tea steeping in your cup up against the white shows like tea stained fabric. It's beautiful. I love the simplicity of the post today. Hugs. Tammy... who just had another antibiotic called in... :(

Oh.. i'm having a giveaway so come on by!

My favorite evening drink is a hot cup of chamomile tea from Upton Tea Imports. So soothing. Isn't there just something so comforting about a cup of tea anytime!

Having come down with a cold, I've been drinking echinacea tea with honey. I'm late in visiting some of my tea friends because of it but better late than never.
I can't believe how many people I've come across with colds at the same time here and I haven't had one myself for a long time.
I am looking forward to your Christmas Etsy shop Celestina.
