Just Outside, it's Christmas

Tonight is a cool evening, perfect for an outdoor walk. As we arrive back, we are greeted by the warmth of home for the holidays.
This side of my cottage is where my studio is. In the pic below, the lower 4 windows is the room I create and enjoy many a happy hours.
Looking in the front window at the Christmas tree.
My red sled. I've had this treasure 25 years, handmade by a good friend.
Grazing deer enjoying the evening.
Front Porch~ greeted by our farmhouse red door.
The antique style door urn holds seasonal greens and postcards from France.
Before we go inside (to be continued on my next post) let's walk around to the back garden.
On cool evenings we can cuddle outside with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the fresh air by the wood burning stove.
We can peek inside~
See you next time for a walk inside.
 Thank you for stopping by.

Have a Very Merry December Evening~

Dearest Celestina Marie,
You call this cottage? Looks like a stately mansion to me... Gorgeous and your photos are so great with the clear blue sky above. Is that your bike near the front door?
Enjoy your home, after all the work and decoration you did. It will be a happy home for your family during the shortest days of the year.
Hugs to you,
Mariette

Ooooooooooooh aaaaaaaaaah.......... so pretty Celeste!! So gorgeous! I just wish I could feel the warmth realtime. When I look at the indoor pictures I can smell the cinnamon and just be there! And one picture I love especially is the one that looks through your front window to the Christmas tree. The only thing that is missing is the hot steam on the window lol from the warmth inside and the cold outside. That picture reminds me of that fairytale about that little girl with the matches. I don't know how that fairytale (it's a fairytale, or not???) is named in English. In Dutch we call it 'het meisje met de zwavelstokjes' and it always impressed me so much and I visualized the girl standing in front of the windows looking inside while she had no home and was warming herself on the matches. Such a sad story. But anyway.......... your home looks so inviting! I'll be there in a couple of hours ok? LOL

Dear Celeste,

I absolutely LOVE your home, your special touch is so obvious inside and out!! I'm loving even the windows! lol I have been wanting to paint my door red for years and I think I will finally do it in the new year. Do you remember the colour you used? There are so many kinds of reds!

Your back garden is also beautiful and I can just picture myself sitting there with a cup of hot chocolate:-) xoxo
