Creating and Painting Spring

With warmer temps, the flowers are beginning to bloom.

Such a welcome sight after the cold of winter.

This time of year finds me painting and creating spring from inspirations all around.

Maybe I am trying to help it along,

So I stitch~
and stencil~

paint and plan.

I'll fluff~
and arrange!

Wash the linens~

and fill my thoughts of springtime~
Preparing the cottage for a new season!

Are you creating for spring?

 Are you helping it along?

We can be sure,

the season will be here when it's ready!

~Have a wonderful day~

Hi Celestina, I am a new follower. I saw your article in Romantic Homes and I was interested. I peeked back at your country whites and love you collection of crosses and Great Grandpa's watch. So much joy in having family treasures. I'd love for you to visit the Cottage. You would be most welcome..Happy Sunday..Judy

Spring is definitely in the air in my town and I spent 3 days weeding and planting and loving the feel of the sun on my face.

You also stitch? You have many talents. I'm so looking forward to spring. I am doing some cleaning and rearranging now. When spring hits, I'm outdoors and just can't get enough of it.

I am eagerly awaiting some signs of Spring here in Ohio, Celeste. We get little teases, like today it will go up to 50 but drop overnight, with snow showers tomorrow and cold again. I want to see the hydrangeas I planted last year blooming, as well as planting a few other things around our condo. I haven't been "feeling it" to decorate with spring in mind inside yet.

Hopefully, those of us that live in winter climates are going to experience this one last "hurrah" and then be done with it! Hurry up spring and sun! Looking at your many talents shown in the photos, I feel so blessed that I was one who was fortunate enough to be a winner in your drawing. I now have a piece of you that makes me smile each and every time I pass by it!!

Hi Celeste! Your paintings and linens are beautiful as usual. So glad that spring is arriving for you. It will be awhile before that happens here. We are expecting another snow storm on Thursday and today is minus 2.

Celestina,
It sounds like you are getting ready for spring! I have been thinking about it too. I always feel like spring cleaning during this time of year, and organizing and decorating. I know exactly what you are talking about - I think it's all about making the home a nice haven for our family, and us moms know how to do that well. Your picnic basket is darling, and I really like the roses painted on it. Have a happy week, Celestina.

Though I'm not one to wish away time, I am welcoming Spring this year in a way I've never done before. I generally love my cooler months as I'm not good in the heat but this year, I do hope it comes soon. I love your stitching and being that red is my favorite color, it caught my eye. Hugs. Tammy

Celeste, your reminders of spring are all just wonderful...I will be posting, my great grandmother's, pink, wild rose, embroidery that she designed in 1902. You will like seeing her very special piece.
I have made many country samplers and the process of making them is very relaxing...someday, I imagine I will return to making them, again. Keep enjoying and sharing yours with us!

Well, if I have anything to say about it, yes, I would say I'm helping spring along. Wheather anyone is listening or not, I cannot really say. LOL

Have a great rest of your week.

Celestina,
I left a message yesterday, but I guess it didn't go through. It looks like you are getting ready for spring! I always like to do spring cleaning at this time of year, and am always organizing and decorating. I know what you mean and can relate to this post very much, as I think we want to make our homes a safe haven for our family, and us moms know how to do this so well. The picnic basket is so pretty with the painted rose on it, and the rose stitch is lovely. Have a happy Wednesday, Celestina.

What a lovely flower filled post! I am soooooo jealous that you have warmer temperatures already...here in New Hampshire we have a couple months at least to go, *sigh* None of that stops me from planning my garden already though!
Hugs and enjoy the oncoming spring,
