French Inspired Easter Eggs

Creating for spring has been so much fun as the days warm up.

Starting with  paper mache eggs, tissue paper, mod podge and a few millinery trims,

I created a few French inspired Easter eggs.
I used toile tissue paper and another type similar to damask cut in 4-5" squares.
Mod podge the paper first, then form over the eggs.

I found that wearing plastic gloves helps as you work with the glue and mold in place.

It is a messy process until you begin the embellishing.

Next adding trims of rickrack, silk flowers, lace ribbon and glitter,

the eggs begin to look like this.

Another style are these burlap goose eggs.

I found these at Hobby Lobby and then added the trims to complete.

It was hard to photograph these eggs,

but I hope you get the idea.

French Inspired Easter Eggs

for a fresh new season.

Soon to be on the shelves of my etsy shoppe, HERE.

Happy Creating!

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,

Celestina  Marie

Very pretty, Celeste! Love the two tissue paper patterns you used. The embellishments are so pretty. I think a whole grouping of them together would look fantastic.

Celeste, these are GORGEOUS and so simple to make too. I can't resist black and white...my favorite combination. Our new house is decorated in neutrals with a touch of aqua, so I think I'm going to add a little aqua to mine. These are simply perfect.
Not posting at this time, but will continue to visit.
Thank you for sharing, love.

Oh, don't worry about the photos.. they turned out beautifully!! On my side of the screen all you could hear was me saying, "oh, my gosh!" over and over again. You see, I am passionate about black and cream and use it quite frequently in my home. Those eggs are amazing and I adore that you chose not to use traditional Easter colors! Fabulous!

Those turned out beautifully. once I decorate real eggs, I had my son blow out the stuff in the center, the yolk of course. LOL and then I did some decorating and put on some crackle stuff and they turned out so pretty. I threw them out when we moved and I miss them it was a lot of work. Have a great weekend. Hugs

Hi Dear Celestina,
We have a brand new Hobby Lobby near my daughters house so we went last week and could not leave. Finally this store came to southern CA, we are already planning another visit. Wonderful job on your French inspired eggs, so different and so lovely, but then you always do beautiful work. Hugs and blessings, Lu
