ChalkBoard Labels

Have you seen chalkboard labels?
You probably have, but they were new to me when I found them at World Market.

On a paper sheet, sold in sets of 6 for 3.99.
They are reusable and wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Perfect for jars, drawers, boxes, papers
and almost any surface you need a little note
for organization!
The directions say they can be repositioned too,
although I have not tried that yet.
Also, they come with a piece of white chalk.

Anyway, I thought they would be perfect for a few projects I have going.

One being the laundry room, where I am about to finish painting the cabinets a lighter color of ivory white,
 like the vintage piece
I shared a few days ago.

But for now all my inspiration is coming together and I placed four
wire baskets above the washer and dryer on a shelf.

Problem is, you can't see what is inside, so I added the labels
using a tag and clothes pin to attach to each basket.

These cabinets above are those to be painted.
Next to the dryer, is the vintage piece I shared in another post
and the sink at the other end
was put in by my hubby
with storage below.
So handy everyday.

As you can see, I have started painting some pieces already.
And this is the other side of the room across from
the washer and dryer.
There is a wall ironing board pull down,
small fridge, corner cabinet
and the tall cabinet is
a laundry shoot from the second floor.

So I have my work cut out for me to finish this space.
On the other end of the laundry is a sewing area with counter top, shelves and window,
which I will share later.

But for now, I have been having some fun with these labels.
I do plan to make labels on thin wood pieces
using chalkboard paint.
But until I get the wood cut, these labels have been a great start.

Here I added them to another project for a wall of organizational drawers in my studio.
I'll share that soon too.

Hope you're having a great week.

Happy April
and
always
Happy Creating!

Hugs,

Celestina Marie

I have plans for my laundry room too! So far I haven't done a thing...at least you've gotten started! A long time ago I bought some sticky back chalkboard paper! I need to find that and use it I guess! The baskets look great!

Those labels are great, Celeste! What a time savings instead of taping off and painting something with chalkboard paint. I love your laundry room. It looks like you've got plenty of room in here and it is so organized. Painting the cabinets will make it look even lighter.

I have one project in my laundry room I want/need my hubby to start and that is a countertop next to our washer/dryer. It will sit over the laundry cart that sorts our dirty laundry. I already have a skirt planned for it. I'd also like to make it brighter in there {no windows}. I bought new bulbs to try out, but I'd really like to get a small chandy in there.

I have never seen those labels...I tell you those stores get all of their ideas by reading blogs!! I love that cute corner cabinet, you are so lucky to have an indoor laundry room, since we don't have basements here in Florida, only the really big houses have indoor laundry rooms, mine is in the garage, nope not much decorating to do there!lol!

Your laundry room is fabulous! These chalkboard labels are really neat. I could use them in my home office. As the business grows I am moving inventory around. Hence, the labeling keeps changing!

Martha Stewart also sells those labels. Staples carries her line of office supplies so you might want to check out what else she has. I love the little wire baskets... so sweet! And the washer and dryer~ I love the color of them! What brand are they? I might be in the market for new ones so that is why I am curious.

Hi Celeste, I'm catching up on blogging this weekend, been absent for a couple of weeks...time seems to go by so fast.

First of all, your new inspiration board in the below post is wonderful, I love it. I also hear so much about chalk boards, in magazines and on HGTV. I so love with you did with that concept in your laundry room. Just lovely.

Hugs to you...take care.

Love Love Love these labels Celeste! My friend Cindy and I tried making some using chalkboard paint and large stickers. A lot of work and some of the chalk peeled off. I've got to get some of these for my next trip to see her and tuck them in her hostess bag!

Big hugs, sherry

Celeste, if I had a laundry room that beautiful, I would love to do laundry, lol! Im so jealous! Mine is ugly and in the basement, lol. Maybe one day I will clean it up and try to make it pretty. The ivory cabinets will be so beautiful in there. I so want some of those chalkboard labels!! I have a thing for chalkboards right now and have a few in my kitchen :) You always have the most inspiring posts. Im going to try to find some of the labels :) They would even be great in the kids room to label items and in the bathroom too!
