Garden Inspirations

My garden has inspired me to paint florals
and recently I found a few metal
enamelware treasures to paint.

Hydrangeas are one of my favorites.
I remember these old pieces in my grandmother's kitchen.
Don't you just love the distress and chipped areas
with that ring of blue or black?

****

The Hibiscus flower is another favorite and this one
was inspired by the large greeters I have at my front door.

Every year my rose arch is home to the birds who build their nests  there.
We love watching how the mama bird takes care of her little ones.

****

This painting of my nest with roses, came from that inspiration.

The seasons inspire me in many ways and spring is one of my favorites.
How do the seasons inspire you?

As an artist, I find  inspirations everywhere.

Music

Books

Gardens

Walks

and the list goes on.

But one of the greatest inspirations I would add to the list,
is the memories in my grandmother's garden.

Her flowers, vegetable garden and grape arbor
was a place filled with happy times.

Sitting under the grape arbor
listening to stories and praying with my grandmother
was pure joy.

This painting inspired those times.

A vintage turning server or
lazy susan with center for a platter.

These grapes and roses are the visions I remember.

Finding inspiration right at home

or

those from long ago

will always be a blessing.

 *****
Wishing you a happy spring day.

Thank you for stopping by.

I absolutely love your front door - it looks smashing with the red door and the flowers!
Your post today has inspired me so very much; how you have interpreted your surroundings in your beautiful art....you are an inspiring impressionist painter of today!

Oh Celeste you are such a talented girl. Your flowers look so real and these hydrangeas just talk to me. They are my favourite flowers beside roses and pansies.
The weather must be so nice in USA that you've already found so many inspirations.
I hardy go out. Still raining and cold.
Looking forward to some more lovely creations.

Such a wonderful gift you have! Yes, Texas is almost tropical in comparison to central NM. We have rosebuds though! I'd love to find a sweet little cottage and winter in Texas. So nice that you stopped by, Celestina!

Your painted pieces make me smile so! I adore enamelware and their chippy traits. You've graced each and every piece with your amazing talent. And I'm happy you had time to paint yesterday. Loved hearing about your grandmother.. all the little details. The fact that you enjoyed being by her side and praying was so special to read!

Celeste, you have so much inspiration around you. I was just photographing our pink hibiscus a couple of days ago. LOVE the doorway.
Stopping by from my new/old quieter page. I figure it's more suitable for me during this transitional year. Not sure if I mentioned on a previous comment, but we move again soon and I need simple.
Hope you'll visit there too.
Keep taking the time to smell all the beautiful flowers, my friend. So much beautiful life around us.
Love and blessings.
