Chateau Accent Table Idea

Hi there Friends,
Do  you ever have items in your stash to create with, but a long time in the making??
That was how I was with these elements.

Four great table legs and an old table top, found at different times with the thought
I would create the perfect table accent.

So as I was cleaning out my storage room next to my studio, I decided it was time to
do something with these 5 pieces.

To the table top I added 4 leg attachments for the assembly.

Painted the top Honeysuckle Bloom flat paint
and the legs with Yesteryear Americana Chalk Paint.
Love this color.
It's like a soft grey blue and goes with everything.

When the top was dry, I added two stripes in the same leg color.

Over that,
 I stenciled the word CHATEAU
with pretty scrolls to the top and bottom of the word.

If you could see my store room of stash, you would say, I still have a lot to do.
You would be right~~~~

But getting this table done is long over due and I am so happy with the finish.

I'll be keeping this one for my cottage,
but planning to have small furniture accents tables in my Etsy shoppe soon.
It has been some time since I offered furniture
and I miss working on these pieces.
Nothing too large like I designed in the past, but smaller accents to
add to cottage decor.

***********

Below is a new vintage tray just arriving in my Etsy Shoppe
I designed three of these and this is the last one left.
Love the added flower bud and leaves to the tray edge.

If you have not tried DecorArt Americana Chalk paint, you will love it and the price too.
The tray Dream and Hydrangea Tray above was painted with the same Yesteryear chalk paint
like the table legs.
I also recently found another chalk paint by Folk Art, in Parisian Grey.
Haven't tried it yet, but I'll let you know how that one is.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend
and

I just love how the table turned out. And the gorgeous basket you have displayed on it is so pretty! The tray is beautiful, the added flower bud and leaves are a perfect accent. I love the added stars you painted around the flowers. It certainly adds a dreamy feeling. I hope you are having a wonderful week!

The table is charming and I adore the tray, too. I visited a furniture consignment shop last week and they were using chalk paint to refinish a few dressers. It is fun to see the transformation.
Wishing you a lovely day.

p.s. It was Amy Howard paint that they used.

Hi Celeste! Oh, the table is gorgeous! I love what you've done to it - the colors, the stripes and the Frenchy words! Looks wonderful. And that darling tray! I love your painting of the flowers and the little extra add on of the bloom and leaves! Did you make that? It's perfect. One more thing to love - the scrolly borders around all of our snaps! Perfect again. Thank you so much for popping in to see me and I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Celestina, your project turned so lovely. I love the colors you picked for table, the stencil is well :) and the basket is lovely on the desk.
I wish I was there, and I can hire you to teach me how to paint. I love the grey, pink, and green. :)
I would love to visit your etsy shop once I get on my computer.
thanks for sharing your project.

What a gorgeous table, Celestina! Don't you just love creating something new and beautiful out of "nothing"? The stencilling is perfect, I just love it! I have some large spindle legs too in my stash, actually a curbside find. I wasn't sure what I would do with them, but now you have inspired me! And your tray is just gorgeous! I can see why the others sold so quickly:)

What a sweet table, Celeste! I loved the size and the shape of the top. Great stencil, too. Yes, I have to remember to pick up some of that chalk paint next time I am at the craft store. I actually have to go this week, so I'm adding it to the list. : )

Oh Celestina, I love the table with the lovely stenciling on it and the tray - WOW. You come up with so many wonderful ideas and they all turn out perfect.
I am having a hard time finding any color other than white, cream or a ugly green in the chalk paint My next stop is Michael's. I was very disappointed with Home Depot. Terrible colors - so I am on the hunt.
Have a terrific week and I hope you little get-away was a lot of fun.
Hugs dear friend.

Your table is so pretty and I love to see what you have been making. You make it seem so easy. Have the storms been close to you? I think of you all quite often and was watching the weather station today wondering how close it was to my friends. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.

Well, as usual I admire your beautiful work! Darling little table you made. Of course you will keep it! I don't know how you let any of your beautiful creations go.

Hi Celeste! I'm so sorry you're having the puter problems. Sometimes this happens to me and I go into my blog roll, like where I would add a blog, and uncheck the 'show icon' and save that and then will go back to my blog roll and it's up to date again! I don't know why this works but I check and uncheck it from time to time and it doesn't do anything but update the blog posts list.
Thanks so much for your encouragement on my little kitchen. I'm trying to make it me! :) Thanks for answering my questions too. That blue jar sure looks like my biscuit jar but it's packed now! ;) Have a great week, my friend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I just saw the paint in a shop and wondered about it.

I am in love with your little table. I have a cabinet that could use a nice touch on the top. I might have to use your idea.

And, yes, I have way too much stuff. Stuff crammed all over the house and I don't even remember half of it. I usually get lots of stuff done on rainy winter days. But, we had no winter and no rain this year.

Another winner, Celeste. Gray is it for me lately, so I'm loving those legs. You did a fine job.

Oh Celeste!! I love it and I love the colors...I like that you did not shabby it up, sometimes it just does not need it. Is the Deco paint the chalk paint I have heard that they sell at Michaels?
