Celebrating the Red, White and Blue~

Setting a 4th of July lunch on the kitchen table.

Using what I have for the setting.

Patriotic blue place mats and  layered plates in red white and blue.
The table cloth is a white windowpane design
and a recent find 60% off at Kohl's.
Gotta love at 30 dollar and change cloth for 12 dollars.

One of my favorite English patterns.

Sweet and delicate.

A pop of red with the bowls and I love the flowers showing through.

Gorgeous cobalt blue glasses for ice tea.

The napkins are a set I embroidered some time ago and perfect in this setting.

The centerpiece sits on a vintage English plate and added to the top
is a magnolia leaf I hand painted with a folk art flag.

Love this pattern.

They say it might rain on the 4th of July during the day.
We will enjoy a lunch inside and pretend we are sitting on the patio right outside the windows.
The rain will give the kitchen a cozy feel
and once again we will be thankful for Independence Day.

Thankful  for

The stars and stripes

and
FREEDOM!!

***God Bless You***

Happy 4th of July and beyond!

Beautiful job! Love the red glass over top of the blue and white patterned. The embroidered napkins add a nice Americana feel. Have a wonderful 4th- I hope it won't be a rain- out- perhaps just a brief shower!

Freedom.....a dear friend called me yesterday, a great soul with whom I lost contact since my 29 years away from my native state of California. She is going to Indonesia on Friday to preach and her buzz word during our conversation was FREEDOM. The ultimate sacrifice, the ultimate freedom have we who believe. ENJOY your celebration dearest Celeste - and your decoration is GORGEOUS with that pop of lovely red!!!! Anita

Celestina, your table is beautiful. But I would not expect less from you. I love that you used what you had because the china and red bowl just speaks patriotism. Happy 4th my friend!

Your table setting is absolutely gorgeous - oh those dishes!

Our entire lane celebrates the holiday together at the ocean front house and the hostess just picks up any old paper goods. I will use a cute patriotic tray to hold my homemade chocolate cookie ice cream sandwiches.

Happy 4th and hopefully no rain.

Celeatina,
Your red, white, and blue table setting is so striking and just right for this patriotic day. I love the red bowls, and the napkins that you embroidered adds a special touch to it all. My mom taught me to embroider when I was little, but haven't done it in so many years.

Happy Fourth of July, my friend. I will probably just go on top of the hill and watch the fireworks with husband and have a barbecue with our son.

love,
~Sheri

I hope you had a good Independence Day! We love the red white and blue too, although for us it represents the colours of the UK Union flag :)

Wonderful mix of red, white, and blue. You somehow gave it your signature, romantic touch and made the setting look softer than a normal r, w, & b setting. laurie
