Romancing Summer

Living by the water is a summer dream~
Okay, well it's not the ocean here,
but living by water near our cottage means the view of a lazy heart pool
right outside a window of lace.

Inside overlooks the pool from the sitting room.
Week day mornings to late summer evenings
find me romancing the summer from this cozy space.

I love to change around the mantel for the seasons
and summer is the perfect time for a beach style.

Beach cottage reads, music, roses and fluffy pillows add to the dreamy feel.

Do you have a room with a view?
Romantic setting?
Summer cozy?

"Life is a journey, Enjoy it"

Till next time, wishing you a beautiful summer day

What a lovely space! I really like your beach decor. I do live near the sea, but don't have any beach decorations... maybe I should rethink that!

What a lovely, soothing setting---any time of the year! Wish I lived close enough to pop by and sit a spell with you in that room.

The white roses painting behind the loveseat is stunning! Is that one of your works? I love it.

Hope you have a beautiful day.

Love,
Patti

Beautiful! I lived on a lake growing up and really miss the water. We have beautiful views of the mountains here though and we really enjoy them.

You would need to be here, right in front of me, to see, hear and feel the enthusiasm I have RIGHT NOW, as I see your ethereal and perfect cottage, Celeste! WOW! The details that you lovingly and painstakingly put into your home shine and I LOVE IT! That view of your pool is enough for me. I feel the same about water, and though we live in the land of 10,000 lakes, we do not live right near any lakes, but all we have to do is take a short drive to the other side of Minneapolis, and we are in water haven. I have a gurgling fountain in my yard and I have a lovely view from my enclosed porch. I have to make a post to share my home, after the link party.

WONDERFUL SHARE! Anita

What a lovely room and the view is fabulous! There is something about water that is so peaceful to me. Your summer vignettes are so pretty and just perfect for adding a touch of summer to your room. You would have a difficult time getting me to leave this room- it's gorgeous! Oh, I adore the painting above your sofa- what a wonderful idea to pair flowers with shells!

Celeste, you are quite the decorator my friend, your place is so lovely. The combination of roses & seashells is beautiful & the reflections photo with the piano is very artistic, love it!
I'm also very drawn to fire *&* water, probably why I married a Firefighter ;^)
I could sit by a fire gazing at a river & mountain scenery for eternity! A heart shaped pool sounds so romantic. We have a 30 foot round pool. My husband built a large deck around it & installed a gazebo that overlooks the pool, it makes for a very lovely outdoor sitting room. We really love it & use it every day in the summer months. Try to Picture our FurKids (2 Chihuahuas & a Pitbull) taking turns hogging the stairs to the pool.
Your post is very enjoyable & inspiring.

Have The Best Day Ever!

Love this room Celeste, with the whites and creams, flowers and shells. So peaceful and beautiful. I love water, too, so nice to have it nearby and handy for a little dip!

question: I noticed your floors. I love the darker wood, esp with white furnishings, but everyone says don't do it, they show everything. What do you think? Are they hard to keep clean? They look beautiful!

Romancing Summer is the very best way to enjoy these lazy hazy crazy days of summer...
I enjoy setting out my collection of beach sand and shells. I used to live near all the Southern California beaches...Laguna, Dana Point, Huntington, Seal, Long Beach and every one in between. Now I am forever far from any beach and miss them terribly. Romancing Summer in Blissful Style...

I don't have the home of my dreams or live where my heart longs to live but the Lord has taught me the joy and grace of blooming where you are planted even if that means I have to be a blooming cacti!! Living in the desert instead of the beach, that's where I bloom!! I love your your room! Blessings, Cindy PS: I am leaning toward the white cabinets!!!

I sure do have a room with a view, my friend, one that I'm very thankful for. The view of our pool from my creative room is most soothing to me, especially since we are living in a transitional house. I'm sharing a few glimpses this weekend for a couple of blog party's.
Wish we could visit to share a cup of tea and chat about our creative projects and dreams. Oh well, that's what blogland is for, right. :)
Enjoy your day, friend.
