Corky Pumpkins

Hi Friends
Hope you enjoyed a great first week of September.

Today I want to share a little project that I can't take credit for, but so enjoyed to create.

My dear friend Betsy from Coastal Colors shared this fun wine cork pumpkin idea
Visit Betsy for the tutorial and to meet her. She is such a talented girl and you will so enjoy your visit
and how she shares projects and home decor.

Anyway, I thought her cork pumpkin was such a great idea.
I wanted to try one or two but did not have enough corks.

So recently when I was out junkin, I came across a bag of corks
and quickly grabbed them up with this project in mind.

And~ I had enough corks to make a large pumpkin and little one to go with it.

For mine I added small faux leaves and copper wire twisted for vine around the top.

You could paint these white too.

Look how cute on top my rusty old scale.

Just a touch of fall in the kitchen to begin a new look for the season.

All you need is corks, paint, hot glue and felt for leaves like Betsy's shares
or faux leaves like I have used.
For the vines, I used wire, but Betsy shares how you can make them using jute.
Visit HERE to see more.

The formula for the cork placement is,
a row of 4
a row of 5
a row of 6
then another row of 5
and the top row again of 4.
Save one for the stem, paint, accent and display!!

Thank you Betsy for the inspiration. It was a fun project.
Now I'm  thinking maybe Christmas trees painted white with glitter.

Are you beginning your fall touches?
Creating any new projects.

So much fun isn't it??

I'm so thankful for this time of year!!

See you next time.
Be Blessed.

Celestina Marie

Hi Celeste,
My mom would love those pumpkins, she loves log cabins and such... I'm happy to see you are still blogging. I had to take a break for summer dog shows. It was way too hectic to keep up, had to put my shop on vacation. I am back now and ready for those holiday sales. I see you have been super busy creating as well. Are you loving fall? I have noticed weather here has not been so humid. Hope you have a blessed week!

xoxo

Good morning my friend! I am enjoying the slight transition we are making into fall; we still have summer-like weather, but I can see and even smell fall around the corner! Therefore, a project as such is perfect for those lovely displays on the farmhouse table! You are just wonderful. Enjoy your Saturday! Anita

Very cute! I never would've thought to do that with wine corks- the copper wire is a cute accent. I bought some faux pumpkins to paint but I'm not very talented like you so it will be pretty basic! It's feeling more like fall up here so my mind is on fall decorating although I haven't done much yet. Have a wonderful weekend!

So cute! Maybe because I just came from a blog with pictures of grapes, but picture making a "cluster" of grapes with corks. That would be cool too and fit in with the wine cork theme. somebody has to drink a lot of wine for these projects though!!:)
Hope you're having a nice weekend.
