Another Autumn Mantel

Hi Friends Happy Thursday!

I know we have all shared our mantels this fall and our pretty displays.
When I shared my little library mantel a week or so ago,
I promised to share my rock fireplace mantel from the living room.

This room is more like a sitting room and music room of sorts.
My piano is here and the sound system for music we pipe inside and out.

The mantel is high on the rock wall of the fireplace
and I love to change it out with the seasons.

This  year for a fall look I'm using a framed work of art called, Evening in Tuscany.
I simply leaned this piece on the mantel among
a vine of leaves, scattered pumpkins, candles and a few anchor pieces.
Keeping it light and simply with the color lighter too.
On one end I've added a little height using some spiked leaves in a creamy dragon fly vase.
The stone verse on the easel is a gift from a dear friend.
On the other end of the mantel I have added a garden girl bust,
vintage school books, and pumpkins mixed among the vine.
To the center is a faux candle that I added a graphic  using the waterslide method
and a few brown glass tea light holders shaped like fall leaves.
The hearth has a few pumpkins on each side.

To the iron screen I hung a fall berry wreath for a little color.

To the fire box, I've added 7 faux candles in a variety of shapes on timers.
These come on each evening giving a warm cozy glow.
It's hard to get a straight on photo of this mantel as  there is a wall of windows across the room.
The light and the windows show in the glass of the art print making it very hard to see.
But I think you get the idea.

I can leave this mantel through Thanksgiving.

There are so many wonderful mantel displays in blogland  this season
and so much inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by.
I love it when you visit and thank you for your comments.

See you soon.

Have a great fall day filled with Southern DayDreams!

That mantle looks gorgeous and uou are right- it will take you right through Thanksgiving. I try to do that with my mantles, too. I like your combination of items and textures...that candle is REALLY cute. Love your fireplace screen, too.

Those rock walls are harder to dress, aren't they? I have one that is similar but it is chunk marble. They wanted me to rip it out when we redid the house but I left it and it is the centerpiece to a small sitting room that my hubby uses.

Hope you have a wonderful day, Celeste.

Oh Celeste, your mantle is very pretty and your right, you can leave that up until Thanksgiving. That's what I do when decorating for Fall and Halloween. Just add and take out Halloween decorations - then the Fall items come out for Christmas.
Everything looks terrific.
Have a great week dear friend.

Good Morning Celestina,
I am loving your Fall mantel and looking at all of it twice. The little girl is so gorgeous, and it looks like she has grapes draping from her? Those school books are treasures. I just set up a book case in our new home, and there are some children books that I used to read to the kids that I just can't part with. I love the brown velvet pumpkin, it's so pretty. What a cozy spot this is to sit and read. The colors will blend in for Thanksgiving too.

Have a peaceful weekend, dear friend.

love,
~Sheri

Happy Saturday dear Celeste! Thank you for coming to sit by my fireplace mantel today! I am happy to hear that your husband also feels the same way about the abode you've both built, but especially, to come home to YOU. It is a huge blessing, isn't it? And I am sitting here looking out my front window, watching the sunrays play with the orange and yellows and reds of our maples out front....what a glorious day here in my HOME.

PEACE and blessings! Anita
