The Autumn Garden

Welcome friends
With the temps still a bit warm,
my garden is blooming and giving a pretty show
for the last of the season.

This wreath greets me when I walk to the side yard and potting bench.

Pretty Purslane is still blooming each day when the sun shines.

One more hydrangea bloom pretty in pink.

Mums blooming with fall color.

In my Meditation Garden
I replaced the flowers on the garden chair with mums.

Ivy has grown beautiful this summer and my potting bench is
wrapped in green.

Pansies are just beginning to give a pretty show for fall.

My frog is still enjoying his spot on the red bike
and mums replace the summer blooms.

More mums among the ivy filled with buds soon to open.

Summer flowers and begonias not ready to end their time in the garden.

Lantana giving a fall blooming.

This bush is called Texas Bush Rose.
I've never seen a rose per say on it, but it's huge vines produce a stalk like flower.

And my garden must have a garden house for the birds to enjoy.

Here is a pretty fall bloom on the purple potato vine.
These are going strong and loaded with flowers similar to a trumpet vine or morning glory.

Warm afternoons will find me enjoying
some time here for tea.

Thank you for stopping by.
I always enjoy your visits and thank you for your comments.

I'm working on a major reno
of two bathrooms.
It's a bit busy here at Rose Garden Cottage
but I'll be back to share more of my projects next week.
Blessings to you all!

Celestina Marie

Celeste, your Autumn garden is gorgeous! We still have temperatures in the high 80s, in Georgia. My garden is so mixed up. It's nice to see your lovely garden! I adore your meditation area! Wishing you and your family many Autumn blessings!

Your autumn garden looks fabulous! I espcially like the ivy with the garden bench- that looks spectacular! I've only seen flowers once on a Sweet Potato Vine- I think it was because we had a ton of sun that year. You've done a great job keeping everything growing with the brutal heat you've had. Looks like you will enjoy your garden for a while longer! Have fun junkin!

What a lovely garden, and such a beautiful space to sit with tea. I haven't seen blossoms on a sweet potato vine; they're quite pretty. Mums are such dependable flowers, aren't they? Always providing us beautiful color in the fall.
Have fun junkin this weekend! xo Deborah

Celeste...I wish my flowers were as pretty as yours are, but we've had some cold days and very cold nights...so no pretty flowers left here. We should start seeing the leaves change to their beautiful Fall colors with the next week or so.
hugs,
Cindy

Celeste,
Isn't it amazing the transformation a garden goes through at seasons end. Yours has gorgeous lingering blooms to enchant you till Autumns end. I love pansies and embrace their folly of beauty in just Spring and Fall. Now your meditation garden had me at its Serene hello. Us artists need out time to reflect to seek out creativity to understand... I go off in peaceful meditation twice daily... It helps me to focus to adjust my sails for any uncertain winds. I adore your red bike with the frog. Living in the city with only a postage stamp lawn I'm afraid if I put out such an adorable bike it would be rode away!!!!
Happy weekend,
xoxo,
Vera

Aahh, seeing your garden makes me smile, Celestina. I don't know what it is, but flowers are the magic in my life. And seeing yours and all the beautiful greenery made my Saturday morning. That red bicycle is so cool too. What a lovely place to spend some time and relax. I hope you have more days to do so before the weather starts to turn.

love,
