Wrapping Paper Creating!!

Last year I found this great sheet music wrapping paper at IKea.
I shared a few projects creating with it in the pics below.
Of course it's great to wrap pretty presents,
 but I so love
using items for other uses too.

I still have paper left, so I'm back to designing with it again and having fun
coming up with new ideas.
I'll share those soon
but till then,
here are some from the past.

Starting with a frame from my stash of treasures,
I hand painted it all around with a soft chalk paint
and then lightly distressed the high points with sand paper.

Next I cut the gift wrap to fit the 5X7 frame
and glued it with modpodge to card stock to give it a sturdy weight.
To top the music paper
I added a pretty vintage graphic courtesy of  THE GRAPHICS FAIRY
leaving a border of the music paper showing all around.

Placed all  back in the frame and under the original glass.
It doesn't get easier~~

So pretty displayed on a side table for the winter months.

Here is another idea using burlap as the background.
This frame is painted with chalk paint and then antiqued.
With the gift wrap scraps,
I added them to a few emergency candles
for a decorative accent.

Wrap the paper around the candle and glue in place using modpodge
and then brush over top of the paper to seal in place.

Next, I placed two candles together held in place with a little hot glue and embellished with medical gauze, crocheted flowers, silk flowers and lace ribbons.

Lastly, I brushed all with a little sparkle glaze over the candle areas.
I like using this sparkle glaze when you don't want the glitter to shed.

Okay, one more idea.
Roll a few pieces of the gift wrap.
Glue together sort of angled for interest
and tie with ribbon adding embellishments for a gift package topper in place of a bow.
You could tie on a name tag around the little bundle too.
 So cute.
These little projects are quick, fun and easy
and make great little gifts or package accents.

 Happy Creating,

Hugs,
Celestina Marie

Hi Celeste! I'm a little behind on my returning comments as we've just returned from Texas. I don't know if I'll ever get this house done! You're always a busy little bee! Now I love these crafts. The music wrapping paper is right up my alley! I love all the different ways you've used it too. I may try to find some and make the wrapped rolls to place on my piano! I love that idea. Hope you're doing well, sweet friend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Celeste, you are amazing when it comes to creating! I love the picture you did with the musical note background! It makes me think of how perfect it would be to use OLD postcards for the picture part. Very stunning the way you've done it. The candles are all beautiful, as well as the package topper! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

I love quick and easy projects. Yours are beautiful. I have stacks and stacks of piano sheet music, and have wondered about using some of it for a craft project. I've never used chalk paint, but it seems to be a wonder, totally transforming dated objects into beauties. Thanks for sharing. And one of these days, I'm going to check out the Graphics Fairy, everything I've seen from there is beautiful.
Have a wonderful day, sweet friend, and enjoy making your beautiful creations!

The IKEA music paper is really pretty and does make a lovely little Christmas table accent. Wrapping paper I see is another thing our creative Santa's helper Celeste can transform into beautiful decor.

Very pretty paper and great ideas, Celeste! I love the first one with the picture graphic and the idea to make some little ones rolled up as a present topper. I have a bunch of document print paper from Ballard's that I've used for everything, including wrapping presents, too. It is just one of those papers I can't get enough of!
