Have a Heart!

Anything with  hearts
has always been
very special to me.

 I don't really decorate for Valentine's Day,
because I enjoy hearts year round
among my treasures.

A few pretties around
that seem to fit right into Valentine's Day
Vintage or new,
hearts are timeless.

Stitched by my mother,
near the end of her life.
Life is sweet,
enjoy a treat!

My Grandma crocheted many lace hearts
as she sang in Italian.
I can still hear her voice.

we all remember from childhood and beyond!

This one hangs on the wall in my etsy shoppe!

Celestina, I love all your keepsakes from your grandmother. Like you I keep hearts around our home year round. I just think you can add them to vignettes so easily through out your home.

Ahh...you mother singing in Italian, my mother speaking in Spanish as she crocheted, sewed, pinched her rosary beads....love hurts so when it vaporizes into the next world, doesn't it dearest?

But love has overcome it all. Oh the love....

Thank you for sharing all your pretty hearts. The ones from your mother and grandmother are the very best. I do have a collection of Willow Tree angels but I do not have the one holding a heart. I'll have to add it to my wish list. Joyous Wishes, Linda

How sweet, all those images that you've kept close to you.
I love the hand-worked items from you, your mother and grandmother best of all. I have a few linens with trim like those your grandmother made - pillowcases, dresser scarves - that I won't part with. Having the memory of your grandmother singing in Italian while doing handwork (a lost treasure) is such a treasure.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Celestina Marie.

Celeste, those hearts crocheted by your grandmother are precious...and to have the memory of her singing in Italian while she was creating must bring you much joy now. The pin cushion is beautiful as well.

Hope your Valentine's Day has been special.

You certainly have a beautiful collection of hearts. How special the hearts are that your grandma made. I know they are very special to you and bring back wonderful memories.
Hoping that you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I did nothing special other than left my red decorations up after Christmas.
I'm off to plant my 3 tomato plants and 10 plants of flowers to perk up my patio.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Mary

Oh, Celeste, how sweet to see that you posted that wonderful plate for me. I do love that plate. I love all silhouettes, but I also love the message on this plate. How wonderful that you have several lovely heart treasures that were created by your Mother and Grandmother. I could envision your grandmother, singing in Italian, while stitching these beauties. Someone with a heart as big as your heart should have a heart collection.
