The Beginning of Spring in the Garden~

I just love this new season
when the new blooms wake up
and
all is right and fresh in the garden.

This is the time of year in Texas
when the garden is truly the best in show.
The best time before the real heat sets in.

I love to garden and this year I have spent a lot of time tending to my precious roses,
perennials and potted blooms.

The rose bushes are loaded with buds
and you see here a few Knock Out roses opening in soft pinkish red.

This area is part of my Memory Garden
and the Creeping Phlox is a gorgeous carpet of light violet.

Next to that I planted a double Daisy patch last year and they provide
many long stem bouquets all summer long.
Mr. Roo is watching over~

To the corner, I added a Carolina Jasmine.
It is a fast grower and the scent is heavenly.

Just below is another area of Hostas with Day Lilies
and the angels are having story time.

Listening to the story!

Another is reading by the light of the gazing ball.

Along the side yard,
I am working on a Privot bush  and training it to be similar to a Ming Tree.
I started this last year and the process continues.

The sun is shining on a dozen Pink Drift Roses
lining this area in a nice hedge row.
They are filled with buds too and I look forward to that burst of color.

To the left more rose bushes are filled with buds
and a few opened just for the photos.
In another week or so they will be in full bloom
and go on all summer long.

This area is my Prayer Garden
and
Saint Francis watches over the birds that gather here.

In the front bottom is a row of roses called
Carpet Roses.
These stay low and spread across the ground.

Below is my newest addition of a  dark Purple Clematis Climber.
I am looking for just the right trellis to anchor the vines.
The blooms are a bit smaller so far
but as the plant grows the blooms will be bigger too.

If you look close you can see it is filled with buds.

Yes, I love this time of year
when the new growth offers a beautiful showing.

But my favorite so far this season~
Is this one sweet little rose.

God's Artwork is Perfect!

Have a great weekend.

Blessings

Oh yes indeed, dear Celestina! God's artwork is just perfect! I have always delighted in the beautiful, intricate colours and designs of each flower...what fun our Lord must have had designing them!
Your garden is such a lovely place and so full of colour and loveliness - you must love to step outside into your 'little piece of heaven' and take in the beauty everywhere!
Much love and blessings to you!

Your garden is amazing Celestina! We trimmed our roses a little later than we should have so they are just beginning to get a bloom here and there. It's so beautiful this year with the little bit of rain we've finally gotten. I'm so happy to see your garden...reminds me of what I'll see in a week or so.

You have a fantastic layout. I hope to see color soon. As soon as the 'white' ends its reign.

Celeste,
Well I enjoyed my beautiful visual stroll in your Texas sunshine and gardens. You grow beauty and i can't wait until it is gardening weather in Philly... Soon! I love how you have made separate rooms and plantings in your gardens, The Prayer garden is divine, I think you are a very soulful artist with an amazing green thumb. Your roses as well as every single flower are gorgeous and they show the time and love you put into them.

Oh Celestina, I felt as if I was right there in your beautiful flower gardens, walking gracefully beside you as you explained your love for each and every flower.
So very beautiful!

We are way ahead of ourselves weather wise here, the snow has melted from the main yard and that doesn't usually happen until the first to middle of May.
I will be out playing in the yard sooner than usual. :)
I'm always itching to get out there as I love the out of doors.

Thank you for this lovely garden tour.
Enjoy the rest of your week-end.

Blessings and love, Debbie

Everything is lovely, Celeste. I always enjoy quiet time with God in the garden. Many years ago, we had an elderly neighbor who would share bouquets of daisies with us over the back fence. Fond memories. We have many newlyweds on our street, and it was fun today to watch them get out to add special touches to their yards; they each had new gloves, hats, wheelbarrow etc!

How gorgeous your gardens are looking already, Celeste! I am so jealous! : ) I can't wait to buy some flowers and get them planted. While I wait (about a month) I am planning in my head what I want to get and where I want to plant it.

Another WOW post, Celeste! Again, we are inching our way to spring and we are following the rest of you out in the warmer climates! Yesterday was such a warm and bright day (around 60 and for US, that's short weather!)

Your privet bush, oh my, that is beautiful. And of course, the rest of your garden is so tidy and perfect! We were cleaning and preparing the house yesterday for a photo shoot today for Romantic Homes and I so wish they would be coming out in July when our gardens are so perfectly lush, for now we have so much winter debris and our boxwoods won't be getting their new leaves until around June!

Enjoy that wonderful Eden of yours! Anita

You have a beautiful garden Celestina! In our former house, I had many knockout roses and they were not only beautiful, but easy to care for (which is what this black thumb of mine needs!).

I know Spring in Texas is the best time of year for flowers. I am sure you're thrilled with how lovely everything looks, as you should be.

Your gardens are beautiful. I also love this time of the year. Not to hot to work in the yard. I don't do to well when it gets to hot. Have to get out early in the am.
Love your little angles, I have a similar set also. Everything is perfect and that last rose is beautiful. Mine have bloomed and been deadheaded back and are waiting for new buds.
Enjoy your beautiful garden.
Hugs
Mary

Oh Celestina, your garden is so beautiful. I love the jasmine. It's one of my favorite scents, and I should plant it in my garden as well. The angels reading the books are precious. You have some of the sweetest statues in blog land. The red flowers are stunning, and must be a sight next to your pool. And the single rose picture touched my heart.

Thank you for sharing pictures of your garden. It inspires me with my own.
