Good Fences on the Prairie

Hi Friends
Welcome to another

Today I am sharing The Prairie fence in Rountop, Texas.
This is located at the Rachel Ashwell B&B in Roundtop.
We had a Christmas vacation here in 2013.

It's all Texas here my friends and a relaxing spot in the wide open spaces.

As you approach the long entrance  you are greeted with this sign.

Split rail fence on the open dirt road follows you to the
Shabby Chic cottages.

The house in the distance is Rachel Ashwell's main cottage.
We stayed in the Cornflower Cottage
and if you want to see that stay
you can visit these posts from that time.

Love this rustic Texas fence on The Prairie.
It's pure Texas.

Thanks for stopping by.

What a thrill that must have been to not only visit Rachel Ashwell's Prairie, but to stay there! I've never seen a fence just like that one, thanks for sharing:)

What a neat fence and lovely home in the background there! Love The Prairie sign. Reminds me of traveling in North Dakota passing large expanses of farm land. There was an oven/range with the door open perched near an access trail that said "Open Range"...cracked us up! I've yet to visit Texas but hope to before long!

I went back and checked out your posts about going to The Prairie and Round Top. When I went to Waco in March I was hoping to go to Round Top but didn't want to get back in the car for another long drive after 18 hours :) That will have to be another time. It sounds like you had a wonderful time shopping and visiting such sweet places. Such beautiful country around there! And, as always, I love your Good Fences posts! Blessings, Cindy
