Good Fences

Welcome to another Thursday sharing

This wonderful little cottage, with it's white picket fence, is just charming.

Happy September Everyone!

I had to return to this post as we begin to leave summer on our way to a new fresh season.

Fall, my favorite time of year!!

Love the gate with the iron arch overhead
and
the stone walkway going up to the porch.

Even the house color is cottage charming in an aqua blue.

It's an old fashion style
and I could easily live here.

What about you?
Do you love a picket fence?
Could you live in a vintage cottage?

~Wishing you Southern DayDreams~
and
Happy September Days ahead!

Let the Fall Decorating Begin.
I'll be doing just that till I see you again!

Could I live in a Vintage Cottage? One with a picket fence and pretty walkway? You bet I could. It would be the perfect little place for the Pups and I...to settle into.

Hugs,
Jan ♥

Happy September to you also! What a cute place and the fence makes it all the more charming!

how could anyone not love a picket fence! Well, I love to see them but NOT to paint them!! LOL!
The cottage is so pretty in that color so it would be wrong not to have a picket fence around such a quaint place!
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day!

What a beautiful home! I would trade my house for a little cottage with a picket fence and beautiful gardens any day! Tired of living in my 1990's style boring cookie cutter home. Hopefully things will change next year!

Celeste,
Me too ... Autumn is my favorite time of year. Isn't Mother Nature the best decorator? But it's still in the 90's and all I'm thinking about is Pumpkins!
Yes I adore picket fences and I would love to have one fencing a cottage but living in the city picket fences just are not seen. I find them enchanting and inviting.
Have a fun filled Labor Day weekend mon amie.

Vera

It is my kind of place and inspires me to keep working with my own little cottage from the 50's.

Lovely! Oh yes, I would be happy to downsize to a cottage, and I might even like a picket fence if someone else had the responsibility of keeping it painted. :-)

It is a very lovely and charming fence and cottage. I also like the arbor and the pretty flowers.

We cannot fence in the front yards where I live or I would have a white picket one.

I too like the arbor overhead. And picket fences are always charming and 'down home'.

You are so right, Celestina, that cottage is really charming. If I had my way I would have loved a white picket fence around our Cottage but since the old wire one was original to the house, we wouldn't change it. Also it is so sad that someone is breaking off pickets around here and really destroying some of the pretty little fences. There is a big loss of respect now a days..Happy Thursday..Judy

This looks so inviting. Just seeing the cottage and fence, I believe that I would like the person who lives inside. You need to paint this one.

This picture makes me want to rip out all the barbed wire fences around here and build white picket fences! Love it. Happy September to you too! Cheers.

Happy September to you my dear Texas Friend!
Thinking of you today and your joyful, thoughtful spirit! Yes, I could live in a cottage, but I would need it placed in the woods, by a singing spring with wild flowers blooming all about:)
Wishing you a beautiful afternoon and splendid weekend!
Hugs,
Jemma

Absolutely charming! The one thing I want most of all for our front yard is a fence. We are located on the main street of our small town and a fence would provide a nice sense of being set back from the traffic.
