Finally Fabric Designs

HAPPY NOVEMBER FRIENDS!

Finally  I have  some new fabric designs up and coming to my shop.

Through the years I have painted plenty of designs on fabric
and enjoyed the process.
This is something new done with my photos
after much editing , balance and scale.

Some of you might remember,
and some of you have asked me how this journey is coming along,
as  I've been working on bringing my designs,
photos and styling to more surfaces.
It's been a process and I've learned a lot.
Some work just too intense to keep my attention,
and some just not worth the effort.
Some programs made me want to throw the computer right out the window
they were so difficult.

But finally this new venue is working
and I am having fun bringing the ideas
 to fabrics and more.

Some first samples have been accomplished and on the drawing board.

I'm still working out some kinks with highlights, color depth and more,
but happy with the first samples.

This full pillow poinsettia is from a tray painting  I designed last year and done with a pillow insert and zipper.
Both sides are the same design.

Here you see a close up of the sewn in zipper.
I decided on this for the seasonal design so the pillow can be changed out after the holiday if desired.

The shabby rose style is also the same on both sides
but not with a zipper.
This one turned out a bit darker then I wanted so back to the drawer board
to redesign and lighten.
The photo looks light but it really is darker in person.

You can see here a but how the fabric is a beautiful 100% polyester broad cloth
with a nice feel and weight.

This photo shows a bit more of the darkness that I am still working on.

Consumer tags added to the edge for removal by the customer.

The Tags are inside on the zipper styles which can stay or be removed.
Fabrics are spot clean recommended.

The photo below is coming soon in a pillow and matching  50" x 60" throw.

This has been so much fun
 and
 I'm just getting started.
Hope to offer new items in my shop in the new year.

Happy November!

See you soon!
Celestina Marie

THAT, is so, so cool. To see your work on print, whether it's a poem (ME!) or your painting on fabric, it's on another level, a dream level. Excellent colors as usual, fantastic designs my dear!

Oh! One more outlet for all your beautifully paintings. Just GORGEOUS, Celeste! Those are going to fly out the door when you are ready to sell them. Amazing work.
I used to run a small business called Angstrom and we took licensed artist's work to market on clothing and accessories. It was a wonderful job-the worst part was trying to make sure the colors stayed true to the artist's rendering and that was a process that involved two to three people on the computers constantly color correcting and making sure it read "true". It was purchased by a larger company and absorbed into their fold.

Good luck! I know what a job you have there...plus you do the finished product as well which is a whole other aspect of your art work.
BEAUTIFUL---I can't wait to see more.

Oh wow!! These are gorgeous! You are so talented my friend.

I know what you mean when trying to do something and it's complicated...how you'd love to throw the computer and printer right out the window! I about choked when I read that!! LOL!!

Have a blessed day!

Hugs,
Jan ♥

Celeste congratulations on you new venture on fabrics. When we had our greeting card company places always wanted to buy my designs for licensing - I allowed it a few times, you my dear by doing it yourself are ahead of the game giving you complete control of your art. I am impressed how well the textures look on the pillows and wish you great success. Can't wait to see your Christmas line of pillows.
xoxo,
Vera

They are looking just lovely. I know how frustrating some programs can be, I have to leave the computer for awhile and come back to it after I have cooled down and had a little break. I am so lucky hubby can usually figure out anything I can't. Good luck figuring out the coloring!

Oh wow! The fabrics that you designed look gorgeous, Celestina! I imagine that was quite a learning curve to figure all of that out! I would have been ready to throw the computer away many times, too, I am sure:) Your designs look stunning in the pillows you created, and I am so excited for you! I just know this new line will be a huge hit, can't wait to see what else you have in store!!!

Celeste, those are fabulous! Love the colors, so sharp and even. Forgive me if I'm stepping out of line...do you know about Spoonflower.com? It's a NC company who takes your designs and prints them on fabric. I saw a t.v. doc and it's a small company, run, I think, by two friends who do lovely work.

Wow Celestina! Your pillows are gorgeous! I'm with you on those editing programs. I couldn't find one that I liked and there was just too much to learn, so I said forget it! Now I just stick to Picmonkey or Picasa, but I do have my eye on Adobe Lightroom. Anyway, good luck to your new venture!
