Winter Kitchen

Hi Friends
and
Happy February!!

Hope you had a nice weekend.
On my mission to clean out, refresh and get more organized,
I did a bit of redoing in the kitchen too.

I'm calling this my winter kitchen,
leaving a little of the red
 I decorated with at Christmas.

Between the holidays,
I found this darling pitcher and bowl lamp
on a junkin trip.

It didn't have the black and white checks.
I added those with my glass paint.
It came with a shade
but it was out of scale
and
I replaced it with this darling red shade I found at Walmart.
It was plain red
and I added the black trim to the top and bottom
to give it a finish.
It just needed a little something.

It's so cozy in the evening and early mornings
with the glow of the lamp.
Santa brought this MC teapot.
I love it on my stove with
the painting above
and
the cherry plate I painted a while ago also with black checks.

Winter comfort food recipes near by and ready.

Loving this corner with my old rusty scale
and the chalk board I created last fall.

A little refresh for winter.
Nothing like an organized space!!

I decided to leave the Waverly curtains I added during the holidays.
Love them for winter and the cozy feel at the table.

The rose plates help bring in a little color.

Layering a couple trays on a shelf,
I added a chalk board
of  a chicken
with added checks.
and stenciled No3
I love the number 3
and
I love checks!

So enjoying my winter kitchen.

Have you updated any rooms for the season?
I'd love to hear your stories.

Have a great week
and I hope February
is a wonderful and blessed month for you!

Oh my goodness, this is just gorgeous! I love so many things in your kitchen today. The lamp is adorable in the corner, the teapot...you know I love that, I've loved your painted dishwasher for awhile. You do such a great job adding your creative touches. Let's have coffee. :)

Good Morning, Celestina! You are always an inspiration. :-)
Your kitchen looks lovely, and that lamp...very cute!
I too have been purging, cleaning and organizing my home. While taking time with the Lord I am also getting things in order. It's always such a good feeling when those things have been accomplished.
I'm still on break, but had to stop in for a lovely visit, and I wasn't disappointed.

Have a beautiful day~

Your little lamp looks so cute in the corner, Celeste, and I love the addition of the checks. Your MC tea kettle was a sweet gift from your hubby! My son painted me a look alike MC tea kettle for a Christmas gift the year before. The scene on your dishwasher is another beauty that you've created...sigh!!!! All your touches of red add such a happy warmth to your cozy kitchen. Thanks for letting us take a peek at the ❤️ Of your home. xo

I could move in...love the little lamp, the checks, yeah, those checks and the warm feeling you have there.
I am not redoing any room right now. Been working on the playroom, though. I have my very own mini sewing area for the first time in my life now! Can't wait to get started on some things floating around in my head.
Need to drag myself away and get some things done around here.

Hi Celeste,
I love your lamp - great choice with the lampshade and your glass paint checks! Your winter kitchen is delightfully warm and welcoming. Have you ever tried PINK lightbulbs? They give such a pretty glow. I have them in alot of my lamps!! I'll be doing a post soon...about them.

Celeste,
I love the warmth a lamp gives in a kitchen. I have always enjoyed one on my countertop and have it on a dimmer switch for a soft glow at night. Your addition of the Black and White checks added a fun punch of playful expression and I love the red shade. Your kitchen is warm and inviting and very well organized.

Celeste, your lamp is adorable! What a great find to go with your fantastic teapot! This girl loves MC! I lost so many of my pieces, in our beach home when hurricane Ivan destroyed it, eleven years ago. I really haven't invested in many pieces since then. You have a lovely kitchen! It's so warm and inviting decorated for Winter!

I love the little lamp on your kitchen counter. It's so much cozier in the evenings than the overhead lights. I love the black and white and touches of red; everything looks really beautiful in your kitchen. You are such an inspiration! I've rearranged a few things in my house recently, and we are working on some more decluttering, papers and photos. It's cold and cloudy outside, so a good time for indoor pursuits!
Blessings to you, Deborah

Hi dear Celeste! I loved to read about your winter kitchen! Again you've managed to twist things your way. I love what you did to 'drag' the lamp into the whole interior with adding the shade and trim to it and painting the checks on the stand. So nice! It looks so cozy in that kitchen, so warm! Wish I could come over for a hot chocolat :D I hope all is well with you dear! xoxox Ingeborg

I love your black, white, and red kitchen, Celestina. I just changed my colors in my kitchen to turquoise and white to lighten things a bit for spring. But I'll forever love red in the kitchen. And I've always wanted a checkered tea pot just like this. The black rooster is charming, and the rose plates.....gorgeous.

love, ~Sheri
