During the Rains~

It's been raining in Texas
A
    LOT!!!

Just when I wanted to take those after photos to share my upgrades
from the last post,
that mission has been on hold as we try and dry out.

While we need the rain,
 and the flowers
have loved it,
we need some sunny dry days
to lift the spirits

and

our thoughts and prayers go out to the many
in Texas who have seen flooding
and worse.

*****************

If you've followed me for long,
you know I love to be om the studio when it rains.
So when the skies give rain,
I swing my paint brushes.

Last week  I completed this tray painting
inspired by a study in
Going Places.

I adapted the design to this vintage tray with detailed edge.

The beach, the ocean, the lighthouse
 and a sunny day!!

Hope you enjoy a sunny day
and
BLUE SKIES!

See you next week.

WOW. You blow my mind...in French we say, "Tu me bluffe!"

Beautiful blues will come again, whether in the sky or in your studio!

I love how that tray turned out. What a great idea! I've heard about the rain and flooding in Texas on the news. It's shocking how a person's life can be changed in an instant. Prayers for all the victims from the flooding.

It is beautiful painting Celestina, so filled with summer joy, and everything painted so wonderful, making the scenery look real.We have heard so much of the terrible rain , but not had any in Denmark.
In Germany and France ,people dyed from the water, and flooding, it is so sad, and awful, dear..
I wish for a little water to the garden, but the weather is not to count on anymore, I`m afraid !!
Hugs,Dorthe

That tray is proof that behind every cloud there is a silver lining. It's beautiful.

My daughter is headed to Texas in 3 weeks. Her husband's family lives in Austin, and they are going to spend a couple weeks with them. Trips to the Hill Country are on the agenda. Hope the weather will cooperate.

Love and hugs,
Patti

I have been thinking of all my blogging friends in Texas through all that rain. Your garden will be so lush after it dries out a little. We have been getting the tail end of what you had....the wind and some rain. Your tray is lovely and exactly where I'd like to be right now!

Gorgeous tray you have painted. So sad to see how so much of Southern Texas is flooding. Thankful that you are safe and awaiting sunshine and drying out. We never got all the rain that El Niño was supposed to deliver so we are still pretty dry here. Now it is Fire season and the fear begins. Blessings Dear...
