The Colors of Spring~~

Welcome Friends, As you might imagine I am back in the studio and trying to catch up on lots missed while being sick. While I am not out of the woods yet, and go to tests today (as you read this) and Monday, I have used my waiting time to create and create. Creating seems to always settle the nerves and relax, so for this, I am truly grateful.

The colors of Spring and lots to share from my studio,HERE to browse.

My creative flow is back in spite of my little set back. You can imagine me, always so busy having to stay still and rest. It is a challenge my friends and very hard for me, so I used my time to plan and sketch ideas for new creations and business directions this Spring.
Here is a little peek of the new treasures lining the shelves in my shoppe.

More creations coming soon~ Altered Art Parisian Keepsake/Gift Boxes.

And, this little sweetie, open egg ornament with bunny is featured in my 55th treasury pick on etsy.HERE. Thank you Kim!

Also, Spring Green Bunny was also chosen for a treasury pick HERE as my 56th treasury inclusion. Thank you Miss Patti's Attic!

HAPPY SPRING GIVEAWAY & MANY THANKS!

Welcome Springtime! Greetings friends, I hope you are excited about our new season as much as I am? I know you are!! And, here in my toile studio, I have a little bunny just waiting to hop over to someone special for my new Spring Giveaway.

She is made from ceramic and wears a halo of pink tulle, pearls and gemstone flower on her sweet little head. Glitter pearly flowers circle her neck and my hand painted cottage pink roses grace her sides with a sweet rose bud by her bunny paw. Her eyes are closed in a sweet little disposition as she dreams of her new home with one of you. She asks that you enter this giveaway with a comment on this post only and perhaps become a new follower too. That's all you have to do, nothing more.

Also, I have to take a moment to send my many thanks to you for the get well wishes. Your emails, cards, gifts and flowers really are appreciated. You thoughtfulness and kindness will always be remembered. I am scheduled for more tests this week and the next while I gather my energy and get back to creating in the studio.
In the meantime, Happy Spring and best wishes for a blessed and wonderful new season.

Blue Skies Be Yours,
Celestina Marie

As The Remodel Continues~

What a difference a week makes in the cold days of winter. We are finally warming a bit and just in time for our neighboring city of Fort Worth to be host to the 45th Superbowl. As the sun smiled upon us, the ice melted and the thermometer warmed.
However, "not so fast" says Mr. Winter, "I am not done with you yet." More wintry mix expected this week. Well, so it goes. It is February after all and it is still better then the storms that most of the country experienced this season so far.

So as the flurries continue, I am staying busy and working between studio and home to complete many projects on my list.
As you know, our kitchen remodel is underway and coming along nicely. The counter tops of granite are being finished and while this is on going, I have redesigned two furniture pieces to compliment the new look.

The large and very dated ceiling light box is down also and new chandelier lighting in place. What a big job. But thanks to my guy's electrical skills, we have light and the fixtures are awesome. I will have pics to share of those soon, but for now, here are a few of the process.

On one side of my kitchen near the fridge, I have a corner cabinet hutch that is definitely old world in nature and in need of a makeover. So it went from sage green to a gorgeous cottage cream. I accented the shelves with tea stained vintage lace, trimmed and altered baskets, a few vintage treasures and a tea towel I embellished with buttons and more tea stained lace.

The Before pic in the sage green.

After Pics~

Another little redo, is my step stool redesigned with vintage roses on an old world style background.

On the far side of my kitchen, near the table, is a built in hutch that was also sage green. It too received my new cottage cream, fabric and trim on the inside back wall, vintage lace on the shelves and glass roses on the upper glass doors. On the bottom doors I painted the carved wood accents and bottom feet to look like a free standing piece tucked in the inset. The inset is painted a gorgeous chocolate curl to accent. I am in love with this combination.
Here is the before pics~

The after pics~

And, of course a few inspirations~

So back to creating I go and hoping for old man winter to change his mind about giving more cold temps with snow.

Thank you for stopping by today. I always love to see you. And, if you don't already know, I am having a Valentine giveaway with drawing on Feb.14th. To enter, you can visit HERE.

I also have a SALE starting today the 7th through the 14th of Feb. with 15% off any item purchased in my shoppe HERE. To receive this discount, use coupon code HEARTS15 at checkout with paypal.

Have a wonderful February day!
Hugs from Texas, Celestina Marie

Sleigh Bells and Winter Roses, Themed Friday Shopping at Make Mine Pink, Ornament Swap and Christmas Giveaway!

WOW,that's a long title!

Welcome friends to another shopping with a twist Friday, for our themed shopping of "Sleigh Bells and Winter Roses" I invite you to join in the fun by visiting HERE in my etsy shoppe for all things roses for winter.
We are getting close to Christmas and this year seems to have moved on more quickly then most. Well, time flies when your having fun they say. And it has been a fun year for creating and moving forward.

Speaking of fun, Our Make Mine Pink Ornament swap was fun too and yesterday I received some darling ornaments from a sweet MMP sister Janet from Janet's Creative Pillows. Visit her lovely blog HERE to meet Janet.

Here are the wrapped ornaments that popped out of the box wrapped so pretty!

She sent a darling aqua strawberry ornament, which I added to my pink Shabby Studio tree.

Next was this darling snowman ornament made from bisque and painted in pink with glitter sparkles almost like a cookie. He is adorable on my pink tree too.

Yet another sweet creation that will stay out year round is this gorgeous dress form ornament with lots of fabric details and fabulous in my studio.

All this flew to me with this sweet silver birdie, which has perched in the tree and will keep me company all Christmas season.

Love it all so much, and lastly, the gorgeous poinsettia Janet included found a spot for display in my shabby rose guestroom with a pair of vintage shoes topped with vintage earrings (I painted the shoes pink) and the sachet I won from Tammy's Stitching and Shipping.
Thank you so much Janet. I love my ornaments and you truly spoiled me with your pretties.

As a reminder, don't forget to enter my Christmas giveaway going on now with the drawing on the 10th of Dec. The entries are on this POST only. Come see my special keepsake box designed to say thank you to all my bloggy friends!

Thank you for coming to visit and your kind comments. I always love to see you and blessings to you this December Day. Have a wonderful weekend!
