Returning Home~

Hi Friends
Hope you all had a great week.
We are back from a wonderful 10 day vacation
celebrating our anniversary
and I am looking forward to visiting and catching up with you soon.

Today I am back in the studio and so happy to be creating again.
I have lots of snaps to sort through and share from my travels.
Here are just a few to start.
Can you guess where we are?

We relaxed by wonderful water scapes. Taking time to enjoy nature.
The gardens in every direction were amazing!

We took in the sound of waterfalls at every turn. Walking along flowing streams that seemed to sing
their own songs.

We dreamed by the pretty Koi ponds. Mesmerized by their beautiful motions in the water.

We enjoyed the many displays of gorgeous flowers on long walks. Each and every space
of land so beautifully designed.

It was a blessed time and a joy to relax and be thankful.
Another year, another anniversary and another memory maker!

*******

I'm so glad you stopped by today and thank you for visiting while I was gone and your kind comments.
I have missed you all and will be around to visit soon and catch up with everyone.

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Celestina Marie

Springtime is on it's way~~~~

All around our area of North Texas, Spring is beginning to warm the days and wake the flowers from their winter nap. My pretty red Camellia bush is full of buds and several blooms. Gorgeous in yellow, is my Carolina Jasmine. Pots of Knock Out Roses that line the entry to our garage in the driveway are filling out nicely with new leaves and lots of growth. And, my hydrangeas are up and filling in with long stalks reaching for the sunshine.

Yes, Springtime is on it's way. I can't wait to work in the garden, dig in the dirt and talk to my flowers once more. I believe one is nearer to God in the garden. I long for the peace and quiet of the new blooms as they enjoy their rebirth. The fragrant aroma in the air of fresh flowers when the wind blows. The scent of the earth after a soft rain and the feeling of a new beginning each and every day of the new Spring.

Today I snapped a few first pics of my garden trying to wake up. Received Country Gardens magazine in the mail with a spotlight on the cottage style garden, which I can't wait to read~~~ and watched as my neighbors Bradford Pear tree dropped white blossoms like a Spring snowfall as the wind blew.

As the Springtime is surely on it's way and it arrives with a huge welcome,
I know that many around the country are still entertaining the last of winter with ice and cold rains. But the hope for us all, is a new season coming upon us.

Thank you for the kind comments on my Cucina redesign. Your words surely have been an encouragement and blessing.

Have a wonderful March Day and Happy Springtime!
Smiles, Celestina Marie

Sunshine brings~
wide open blooms.

Nightly closes~
under heavens moon.

Dark green foliage~

Friend to sun~
and heat alike.

Taking a walk through my garden today, I am so thankful for the pretty Purslane that seems to thrive in our Texas heat. It is a planting that I add every year to fill in the spaces among my other loved flowers. Tolerant to our very HOT temps and always giving a beautiful show of small colorful blooms. Planted in the ground, a garden pot, or hanging from the porch, these wonderful annuals are a blessing and look so pretty next to other flowers and especially, roses.

Sharing a few pics of the purslane from my garden this season.

~~Being Thankful~~

Good Morning another Monday. Today's marvels and musings is all about being thankful.

Thankful for so many blessings, you can't begin to count them. For us here in Texas it is about to rain once again, but before it does, lets take a walk in my garden. Musing among the flowers that are enjoying the crisp fall air. I love to walk around and view the beauty that God has given us to enjoy, the colors that bring so much inspiration and the splendor of nature. When I take this garden walk, I use the time to pray and reflect.
I also want to send a special thank you to Katie from Hummingbird Chats. She gave me the Honest Scrap award and I am go grateful and honored. It will be among the others I have in my slideshow at the bottom. And, since I have done this one in the past, I will not go through my 10 things about me again, but pass this on to anyone that visits here today. Enjoy it and be awarded!

Now let's take that garden walk!

And last, a little bouquet I picked along the way.

Thank you for taking a garden walk with me. I so enjoyed your company today. Many prayers go out to all our blog friends in need and some in sadness for loved ones that have passed. May God be with you in the days ahead. See you again soon with something tastey on Tuesday. Till then, enjoy your Fall day, Be Thankful and Blessings be yours. Celestina Marie
