Faithful Curio of Whites

Welcome to Country Whites Weekend.

When you enter my cottage home, you are greeted by my hand painted white curio cabinet in the entry
.
I have loved this piece for 20 years and have filled it in many different ways and with many unique treasures.

Presently, I am so enjoying my pretty whites on display.

With springtime on the way, it is light, fresh and reflective.

Above the curio, on the wall,

I display my cross collection and the word faith,

which always stays aglow from the light coming through the window.

Inside are special treasures from family and friends.

Great Grandpa's pocket watch in a white base cloche, still set on the time he passed away.

It will forever be kept at this time.

Behind is a vintage platter along side a pretty white creamer.
Hand Painted white birds sit atop a vintage white cook book of Miss Gimble's desserts and sweet winter plate just behind.

Small sewing drawer filled with white roses
on a book box with vintage platter.
Beloved white pitcher and bowl,

hand created by my dear mother in 1980.

My newest addition found before the holiday.

Italian made pitcher with a black and white cow.

Love this treasure!
Favorite treasure from a friend.

A reminder of the blessing
to have special friends.

Thank you for stopping by to visit another

Enjoy the fun!

Hugs,

Celestina Marie

Winter White Dreams

There is nothing better then enjoying and being home for Christmas. I love this book for it's inspiration and gorgeous photos. Each year I read it again and always see something new and beautiful.
Hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving. Can you believe Christmas is just a few short weeks away? Time this year has flown by. I bet you are decorating your homes. Over the next few weeks, I will share my home and decor for Christmas.
For nearly a year now, I have been working on my living room redo adding cottage creams, white and neutral color for a calm relaxing sitting room. The fireplace and mantel are the main feature and the rock is white so getting back to a lighter look was my focus.

Earlier, my dear hubby and I painted the walls a darker neutral with chocolate curl under the chair rail, but after living with it for some time, it just was not working, so repainting was in order.

This time I used Heirloom Lace and the softness and color is just plain yummy!! It was fun to decorate this room for Christmas.

I have a tiny white tree here in this room, but my main tree is in the dining room window which is in the front of the house. I will share those pics on another post. Till then, here is a bit of the redesign over the past year and the decorations for Christmas.
I found this dear Santa at a thrift shop. He was in real need of some TLC so home he came and after a redesign and freshen up, he stands with new life on the hearth.
Another gorgeous Santa on my very vintage side hutch was created by my dear friend Marie from Creations from Marie Antoinette and Edie Marie's Attic. This pretty white Santa is dressed in white and pulling a gorgeous swan holding lots of holiday treasures. Behind are white glittery trees. He is so handsome and right at home. Marie is a very talented doll designer. Stop by and say hello.
My beloved piano got a makeover too and painted white. This treasure has been in my life since I was a little girl. Recently, I found a book of Christmas music from 1945 and just loved the arrangements. This great find looks wonderful and ready to play all through the season. I am sure it will be a source for some great sheet music creations too.
Joining today Blissful Whites Wednesday.
Thank you for stopping by. Your visits and comments are always welcome.

Wishing you winter dreams and love for the season.

Merry Christmas with Blessings,
Celestina Marie

~Collecting Dress Forms~

Welcome Friends~ It's a Dress Form Ball today at Carol's blog, The Polka Dot Closet and so I have a few forms to share in the fun.

From my studio, I have a black and white dress form in full size wearing a damask apron, pink, black and white scarf, vintage pearls, brooch and of course, a pink cowgirl hat dangling off her neck.

Also from my studio I have a pretty feather dress form I created using a dress form ornament that I attached to a vintage thread spool, white roses at the neckline and sequin trim.

And another studio form in pink to hold crystal supplies, bits and babbles and little ornaments used to design with.

One of my favorites is this wire from that I display with a crocheted vintage collar and it stands on a dressing chest. I love this form to hold necklaces or scarves.

For pins and also necklaces, I enjoy this dress form that was originally a pin cushion for the sewing room.

From my recent dining room redo, I have this frenchy iron dress form wearing my mother's vintage scarf, waist beads and crocheted collar and vintage dress pattern neck rose. If you would like to visit my redesigned dining room click HERE to view.

This wire dress form is a helpmate in the sewing room to hold supplies from the hooks that come off the forms front. It hangs on the wall near my sewing machine.

In my guest bedroom I display this pretty dress form above a vintage wardrobe. This one stands along with a vintage hat stand and a vintage hat from the
40's.

Lastly another favorite is this distressed ivory and iron dress form. I display this one in my shabby cottage bedroom. She is wearing a pink vintage hat and pearls.

Thank you Carol for hosting this fun party. I look forward to visiting many more participants today at the Ball.

Till next time, have fun and see you soon.
Blessings, Celestina Marie
