Happy May Day!

Happy first day of May. This was the day we were to leave for our trip to New York and New Jersey. Due to some work related events and the flu, our trip has been canceled for now. We are fine and not sick, but it was a decision made due to the many cases of flu in the area we were to attend. Thank you for all the well wishes for our trip. I truly appreciate it, however,
these things happen and I am not disappointed. I truly believe that everything happens in life for a reason. So I look forward to next weekend when Sherry from Edie Marie's Attic, with her DIL will visit with Linda from Linda's Bluegate Blog. Linda is featured in Romantic Homes this month for her gorgeous garden Conservatory creations. Be sure to take a peek at the article and her gorgeous design.

In the meantime, I have been very busy and decided to show the handmade and hand painted gifts that will be sent to the winner of my giveaway drawing. There is still time to comment and enter from now till May 9th on any post. Sherry will do the drawing and I will take pics of the winning entry name. So far over 150 entries have been collected. Thank you so much and good luck to all.
Here are the assortment of gifts. A tall hand painted bird nest keepsake box for treasures, a garden journal, some morning glory seeds, sweet decorative birdhouse, handmade paper cards with my cottages roses, a sweet happy days tag, and a cupcake spoon ornament. The winner will receive all and I am so excited to give these away. I hope you are not disappointed and will enjoy your new treasures.

Thank you so much for celebrating with me my over 100th post now. It has been a joy and blessing to blog. Good friends have been made over time and each and everyone is very special to me. You inspire me, make me laugh, lift me up on hard days, keep me creating and bless my life in more ways then you will ever know. Thank you my friends and blessings to you all.
Happy May, Celestina Marie

okay before I forget.. OH MY GOSH... I love spoon full of sugar.. honest to betsy. I sing that song all the time around the house. usually when the meds kick in mind you but hubs just gets a giggle.

HAPPY 100th!! How often would a woman admit to that eh? :)

Love your art work. I'm going to have to go over to your etsy shop and look about. You paint ever so beautifully. I wish I could still paint but my nerve damage has long taken that from me. That's okay though as God had different plans for me. I can still sew.

Blessings to you on May day and again, congrats to your 100th.

I enjoyed your entry. This swine flu is certainly keeping people at home. I agree that everything happens for a reason, even though sometimes I don't initially like it when things "appear" to not be going my way.

Congrats on your over 100 posts!

Hi Celestina.

Yes, things do happen for a reason. Sometimes, at that moment we won't feel the same way and don't exactly understand why but in the end we do realize that there is such purpose as to why things happened. All we can do is not be so pessimistic about it cause there really are positive things to look at. Hard, I know, but it's worth a try right? It just depends on the eyes looking through :-)

Now, for your creations ---- wow! and I mean wow! Makes me wanna wish I could paint too :-) . And look, you included the painted spoon too and its pink with a cupcake on it. Cute. Everything is just lovely. So nice of you too to include a packet of seeds to start of with that garden journal.

Hello Celeste, Thank you so much for stopping by. I'm so glad that you like my Americana Bath. I love the way it came out. I used the background color for the walls that was in the border, it was a sponged look and I picked the darker shade and it does not show in the pic. I do like the way it came out, in person it looks better. Thank you so much for your comments on my decorating, it means alot to me coming from you. It is a large bath, about 18 x 12. It's just a guest bath but company surely loves it. I'd like to find a little dresser to go next to that sink.
I'm sorry that you had to cancel you trip, but it's probably a wise idea. I pray that you are all safe in Texas. Your giveaway is just over the top beautiful! I'm hoping I win. LOL I put up a cute post today of an ice cream cone quilt that I made for my new teatime/cupcake guest bedroom. I think you will like it!
Bless you, Shirl

Pretty Pretty roses. So soft and sweet! We just have made the big move across 3 towns. So still getting settled. My paints are still in storage.I thought I could share with DH his man cave. But not enough room, so I will set up in extra bedroom. Well dont need to ramble. One of these days I will add something to my blog..no time. Keep up that painting.I'm envious. Hugs Sally

Hi dear friend,
Sorry about your trip but it is true that all things happen for a reason. Having just sat in a Dallas airport Sat. for 5 hrs. in the storms they had with many people wearing masks because of sickness, I totally understand. We even sat on the runway after that for an hour before they reopened.
It's good to be home and visiting blogs I love again.
Your giveaway is just beautiful and someone will be very blessed to have your painted items. I'm with Ceekay, your spoons are adorable.
How are your knockout roses coming? I couldn't believe how mine blossomed in two wks. I will try to post them soon.
Enjoy your company!

Hello Celeste, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a sweet commet. THank you also on my ice cream cone quilt. I have to get it quilted now because it looks so pretty in my new pink room.
I can't wait to see your new creations especially the ice cream cone ones! I hope one day to get me home in a magazine. I've been waiting until we get more work done but have been considering sending just one room it instead of the whole house. Still thinking on it. Have a great week!
