Blessings come to us in many ways. Today, on the eve of Mother's Day, I was blessed with a joyful visit from blogging friends, Sherry from Eddie Marie's Attic, her daughter in law Chris and Linda from Linda's Bluegate Blog. In several posts back, I shared the trip Sherry and Chris were to take for a two week venture. Today they arrived via Amtrak and Linda picked them up before coming to my house for a fun visit.

Our time together was very special, but of course, was over way to fast. We talked and laughed and visited over lunch while dear hubby waited on us with ice tea and lemonade. He is such a gem, helping to host, so I could visit with my lovely friends who are beautiful ladies inside and out.

Beazy gave her WELCOME WAGGIN Greeting~~ and made clear she was one of the girls.

We shared a little somethin, somethin gifts!

Sherry and Chris brought me a awesome jeans tote bag made by Sherry. I love it. It has great pockets for sunglasses, cellphone and keys along with a fully lined inside made from shirt fabric. The closure hook is a gorgeous dragon fly pin. Being a purseaholic, I fell instantly in love with this bag made by talented and creative Sherry.

Miss Beazy was thrilled with her gift of a darling scarf also made by Sherry. The fabric has little bees (perfect for Beazy) and apples, since she is the apple of my eye.

Sharing our gifts of a little somethin, somethin's.

Showing the lids to their keepsake boxes.

Blogging Friends~~
Sherry drew the name for the 100th post giveaway winner. The basket was full. Given a good shake and mix. And the winner is~~~~

And the winner is~~~~drum roll~~~

Congratulations on being the winner of my giveaway. I will contact you shortly to get a mailing address for your treasures.
Thank you to all who entered with your kind comments and visits. Many came back several times and I so appreciate your friendship and visits. This was so much fun to create for, and, I look forward to another giveaway soon. Thank you again to Sherry Chris and Linda. You made this weekend a true memory maker and one I will treasure always. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your trip and look forward to seeing your trip pictures and stories when you return. Safe travels girls!!

Best wishes to everyone for a special Mother's Day 2009. I will spend my day with my wonderful son and dear hubby. We will be in church, and then I was told, the guys will take me to dinner. I always love the time I spend with my sweet family and thankful for the blessings of being a mom. Whatever your day holds, may you find the joy and love being with family and friends.

Linda also has her post up to share with everyone when the girls stayed with her. Click here to visit and read about the fun Sherry and Chris had.

And Sherry is adding posts along the way that you can see HERE at Edie Marie's Attic
See you again soon and I will be back with backyard pics, if it ever stops raining.

Oooh, Celestina Marie, Thank you for your special post sharing how we mirror our relationship to our mothers. I had to weep when I read it. I find Mother's Day especially difficult every year. It does my heart good to know that you understand my pain.Even though I have children and grandchildren, my heart has a rip in it where my mother used to dwell. My memories are the only thing that bring me joy when I start to feel "those" feelings. I have no gift to give you, but here is a hug ((HUG)). Blessings, dear one. ginny

Hi Celeste, What's happening, what's new, what's going on baby cakes? I see you are in the process of opening your own website. I am proud and thrilled for you. YOU GO GIRLFRIEND.

Your blog is also playing one of the pieces of music that always makes me cry. OMG!! "Somewhere in Time" ~ I can't even watch the movie anymore, I cry so hard every time I do it's ridiculous. That movie and the original Romeo & Juliet ~ Heaven help me. Balling like a Baby!!!

Have a great weekend my sweet and dear friend.

Hello Celestina,So happy to hear from you.Sherry and Chris just loved visiting you and Linda.I know for a fact that they had a most enjoyable time.
We also had a blast.I took them to a few of the local shops, which weren't many.We have a very small town, but growing because of Katrina.I think all of New Orleans is moving here. Then we went swimming in my daughters pool. That next day My hubby Bill and I took them into New Orleans. We went to Cafe Dumond and a few shops there,of course the French Market. They saw Jackson Square.I wish we could have had more time, because we did not get to see all the sights....So many things and such a short time.I sure do miss them.I loved them to pieces and they were the perfect guest. They did not even mind sleeping on an air mattress on the floor.Although I do have two bedrooms,One of them is my work room. When my daughter moved out ,thats what it became...LOL.Oh and nature coperated.I had a new hatch of Peacok chicks and two of the chicks were white, which is very rare for even one. They loved that.My red devil 10 month old Austrian Shepard( Hobie) did do havoc on Chris's flip flops.I did feel bad about that, but Chris just laughed. And they fell in love with my big bad Rottweiller Rip.LOL...
Would you please email me Celestina,I want to send a picture to you and ask an openion.
Thats about it for now.XXOO Marie Antionette
