Taking a walk through my garden today, I am so thankful for the pretty Purslane that seems to thrive in our Texas heat. It is a planting that I add every year to fill in the spaces among my other loved flowers. Tolerant to our very HOT temps and always giving a beautiful show of small colorful blooms. Planted in the ground, a garden pot, or hanging from the porch, these wonderful annuals are a blessing and look so pretty next to other flowers and especially, roses.

Sharing a few pics of the purslane from my garden this season.

Good Morning Celestina Sweetie...
What a beautiful share this morning. I too usually plant some purslane, as it does well in the Phoenix desert heat too. This year mine did not come back in my pots, and I didn't make it to the nursery. I am hoping to feel up to Fall planting and making things beautiful then. (Spring and Summer got lost this year.)

I am so excited about your giveaway. The ornaments are so exquisite, as you. Your reflection is on each beautiful item that you create sweetie. Exquisite.

Hope you have a beautiful Monday. Thank you for taking me on a tour of your garden. I love the little terra cotta rabbit. So cute.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Hello Celestina Marie,
I found your blog thru Etsy Cottage Style...I have been a somewhat absent member of late...
Your work is exquisite and I will be following you now! I will put your button on my blog, too!

Your flowers are very pretty and look like they do not mind the heat...I used to live in Cotulla, TX. and have family in Ft. Davis. Texas is one of my favorite places to be!

So happy to have found you!

Have a wonderful day!

Really beautiful flowers. I can hardly believe that they can withstand the heat! My garden is a bit sparse this year since my man broke his hip and that is his love, gardening. But, we do have a few lovely hanging baskets. I was able to shut my air cond. off for one entire day, but looks like I will be turning it on today. Have a great week. Loved the pictures!

That purslane is lovely!

Not much here has survived this summer since the heat has been horrid with very little rain so I loved seeing your beautiful flowers!

Celeste, it arrived about 45 minutes ago! It's so absolutely beautiful I can't believe it! Prettier than your photos! Oh, I will cherish it forever! I MUST find the perfect place to hang it...most likely in our dining room with several other hand-painted rose plates I have where I can see it every time we sit down to eat! And the precious spoon you included...what a sweet surprise. Tears. It brought tears to my eyes, your kindness! Thank you from my heart. Especially since beginning last year a lot of unkindness found its way into my life. God helps us to balance out the bad always with the good if we but look around and be thankful for the things we take for granted. The unkindness of others can never erase or unbalance all of our blessings even though at times it may seem so when our focus is shifted.
Thank you for being such a sweet friend. God bless!
Diane

Well, I have never seen this beauty, Purslane, but will check into it. After this 'flip me over, I'm done on this side' heatwave, not much has survived our weather. Your florals are just gorgeous, Celeste.

Finally we got a respite ... terrific storm went thru here last night.

Have a beautiful day ~

Hi Celestina Marie,

Your flowers are really beautiful and that is something I need to do with the drought over summer here, as a lot of my plants died last year, need to plant flowers that are not going to stress in the heat.
I have never heard of Purslane and will see if we have it here.
Best wishes to Diane and Holly.

have a beautiful week, dear friend

Hello Celeste, I've really enjoyed seeing all that is growing in your garden. You have some beautiful garden spots. We have had so much heat this summer that the flowers are not lasting too long here. My beloved stargazer lily's are in bloom now so I'm in heaven with the scent. I also enjoyed your previous few posts that I missed. You have been making some beautiful things.
It was nice to stop by.

Blessings, Shirl
