~Collecting Dress Forms~

Welcome Friends~ It's a Dress Form Ball today at Carol's blog, The Polka Dot Closet and so I have a few forms to share in the fun.

From my studio, I have a black and white dress form in full size wearing a damask apron, pink, black and white scarf, vintage pearls, brooch and of course, a pink cowgirl hat dangling off her neck.

Also from my studio I have a pretty feather dress form I created using a dress form ornament that I attached to a vintage thread spool, white roses at the neckline and sequin trim.

And another studio form in pink to hold crystal supplies, bits and babbles and little ornaments used to design with.

One of my favorites is this wire from that I display with a crocheted vintage collar and it stands on a dressing chest. I love this form to hold necklaces or scarves.

For pins and also necklaces, I enjoy this dress form that was originally a pin cushion for the sewing room.

From my recent dining room redo, I have this frenchy iron dress form wearing my mother's vintage scarf, waist beads and crocheted collar and vintage dress pattern neck rose. If you would like to visit my redesigned dining room click HERE to view.

This wire dress form is a helpmate in the sewing room to hold supplies from the hooks that come off the forms front. It hangs on the wall near my sewing machine.

In my guest bedroom I display this pretty dress form above a vintage wardrobe. This one stands along with a vintage hat stand and a vintage hat from the
40's.

Lastly another favorite is this distressed ivory and iron dress form. I display this one in my shabby cottage bedroom. She is wearing a pink vintage hat and pearls.

Thank you Carol for hosting this fun party. I look forward to visiting many more participants today at the Ball.

Till next time, have fun and see you soon.
Blessings, Celestina Marie

Hi Celestina!
Oh my, the pretty black and white feather dress form is my favorite I think. All those lush feathers! Ooh la la! Also, that gorgeous distressed ivory and iron piece....

Anything Vintage and pink, I'm there! For some reason this year, I've been adding touches of a light grey into my cream and pinks, which I just love.

Thank you for showing your beautiful dress forms! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead ~ xo

okay....I have a suggestion. Make that gorgeous feather dress form into a tassel (maybe it already is...I can't tell) and if you do I will be the first to buy one. :) All your forms are so fantastic!!...Ben, my shop manager, is by my feet at this moment. Golden's are the BEST! We keep thinking we want to get Ben a play mate but two fur balls in the house may be too much.

I love the feather form! How clever was that? I have one dress form. It is black iron and I dress it according to the seasons. Right now it is wearing a mink stole (my mothers) and a felt hat with a feather (the Princess Di look!) was mine and I actually wore it often! The form is in my little girlies room and they love to dress it up with ribbons and jewelry!

Celestina,
I have always enjoyed these little dress forms. These are so lovely. I found one at Ross when I was shopping one day, and I had to get it. It was a champagne dress, 20's style, and very unique. I think my favorite of yours was the black and white one. I think the color combination of black and white is so bold, classy, and pretty. You're so clever with these dress forms, my friend.

Oh my Celeste, and I'm so excited to have purchased my own FIRST dress form. My grandmother's vintage black nightgown is on it. I've taken some pics, I need to share them. It's in my office that has the Tiffany Aqua blue walls in...and it's just so nice to walk in and see her. At the foot of the dress form that stands on it's own are my Grandmother's shoes...black with colorful threads weaving a floral design in them. They fit me perfect! (the shoes that is) :) The nightgown is so skinny...she must've weighed all of 98 lbs when she wore it. My grandmother died 8 years ago - she would have celebrated 100 years this May if she were still living. I drove to AL this past weekend to visit her sister, now celebrating 98 years in July. Her name is Ruby... My grandmother was Odessa Inez...different names. :) My great grandfather used to call my grandmother "Dessie". My grandfather insisted on calling her "Inez". So, she was Inez from 16 on...

Thanks for sharing ALL your lovely dress forms...I love them ALL!
