That's A Wrap~ for the lap!

After weeks of crocheting, my latest lacy ruffled lap throw is completed and my third throw finished in a years time. The others have found a new home to live and this one is on it's way to the shelves in my etsy boutique shortly.
Next I will be starting a white lace throw and I am excited about that one and searching for the perfect yarn to begin.

In the meantime, lots of painting is going on in the studio and in the off hours I created some new home pillows for the new look in my home. Using graphics with words and black and white designs, I have embellished plain pillows for a new style.

This year seems to be a new time to reorganize, change some styles, new looks, clean out, purge and well you get the idea for changes. I hear from many of you, the same agenda is yours. It just gives a feeling of renewal and change can be good. Even my boutique has changes on the way. Lots of new spring styles coming soon.

Today I am half way through my re~dos and a few more changes on the way. It sure feels refreshing, like changing around a room does for us. Are you making home style changes this year? Perhaps painting furniture and walls? Whatever your updates, have fun and enjoy the process. Hope to visit you and see your new dos too.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful February day~~ I'll leave you with some pics of my Valentine flowers.

So pretty! I haven't crochet in so long but it was one of the first things I learned as a child. First the sewing on the old treadle sewing machine and then the crochet. I, too, am busy at work but not painting as much pink this year. I am purging and cleaning out - but I know as soon as I let something go I am going to find the perfect project for it. Oh, well, that's life,
Looking forward to seeing your new items.

You lap throw is beautiful. Such a soft color. I don't knit, crochet or sew. Wish I did, but I'm not going to learn at this stage.

Oh so pretty! I love your new pillows too. I sure wish I knew how to crochet, but I just don't understand the instructions. It would be fun because its something I could do at work. Sure cant bring my paints to the office.lol

I just finished updating my kennel blog (this one) so stop by when you have time to spare.

Hope you had a sweet Valentines Day!!

Your Broomstick Lace throws are dreamy. No home style changes here at "Reflections". Definitely cleaning out and sorting and trying to donate and declutter lots of stuff. Mr. C has a rule..."Volume In equals Volume Out" yet somehow I seem to bring in way more than I ever take out. Happy Hugs...

Hi dear Celeste!
Your throw is gorgeous! What perfect stitches you made. One can never have enough throws I think, so I hope it will find a good home where it will bring warmth. I love your pillows too, especially the one with the black ornamental look. Do not start about re-do's to me, LOL. I am addicted to change lately hahaha, as you know, but you are right, it sure does feel refreshing each time. I am planning to make some new curtains this summer and repaint a Queen Anne closet. So many wishes for reorganizing! I hope you enjoy your new room as well. It has become so pretty! Take good care of yourself and happy painting and creating! Till next time!

Such a beautiful throw Celeste...I haven't picked up my knitting, I"m ashamed to say, in quite some time. I want too, just haven't. Love your crochet work, as always.

Celeste, it turned out lovely. I love the stitch. I've never tried that one. Love how it "crosses over". Also adore the new creations and can SO relate to new agendas. I'm (sadly in some ways) blogging less because I am focusing more on my painting and in the evenings, like you, I'm crocheting. Now that I've learned how to crochet on the edges of fabric, I've begun to "prettify" my towels and pillow cases. I've wanted to do this for so long and the mystery of "how to" do it has been solved, I can!
Have a lovely weekend!

Celestina,
Your throw is so beautiful, and the color is perfect for spring. My sister crochets, and she is so talented with that. The 'treasures' pillow is pretty too. Yes, there will be changes coming my way also. We will be moving soon - still in California. I think change can be good - it just makes everything new. I love the Valentine flowers. I'm a lover of roses as you know. I hope you are having a good weekend, and stay warm with your blanket.
