December's Cup of Comfort.

Several years ago a very dear friend gave me this special book called, A Cup of Comfort.

This book is written for each day of December right through the first week of January sharing stories and prayers for the season.
I love to start the day with my cup of tea or coffee, reading the days story. Each one reflects an inspiring and thought provoking memory. Each day shares two stories and I enjoy to start the day with one and end with one.
The stories are beautiful about real life events that we can all relate to in our everyday lives. No matter how many times I read each story, I am still inspired by something new to think about. Each has a message to teach and a Bible verse to relate.

It finally turned cold here in the Lone Star State and freezing temps hit us with an over night freeze. The first of the season. Our weather anchor says it will warm back up again for the weekend.  But, before our change in weather, my dear guy picked one last bouquet for me. Pink, red and coral roses for Christmas. He came walking in with this bouquet and handed it to me with a smile. The best kind of gift!
They look so pretty next to a special card sent to me from my dear friend Diane, from 1 Card Creator. Diane designs the most beautiful cards using lots of details and elements to create something special. She was one of my giveaway winners and this card was a thank you card. Stop by and say hello, she would love to meet you and visit you in return. For now, I have it displayed with a frame, but after Christmas, I will place it in a keepsake frame for future display. Thank you so much Diane. I love this card.
Thank you for taking a moment to stop by. I know everyone has a lot to do this season, but your visits are so appreciated and your friendship a blessing.
Wishing you a beautiful December day and many cups of comfort.
Love, Celestina Marie

Hi Celestina, I love your post tonight. I especially love your beautiful roses. We are cold, but no bad weather yet. I hope it will hold off for a while longer. I know we need the moisture, but I want it to stay above freezing. I always love seeing your pictures. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

Dearest Celestina Marie,
Funny that you too got roses from your husband. Pieter sang to me the song: I Beg Your Pardon... I Never Promised You a Rose Garden from Lynn Anderson. How much we all enjoy them, especially if home grown.
Lovely post and it touches some great sentiments.
Hugs,
Mariette

Oh, I could not start my day without my quiet time, hands wrapped around a hot cup of coffee and heart open to my favorite devotional. I love the stillness of the morning. This sounds like a perfect book for this, Celestina.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that gorgeous card from your friend, Diane. You have displayed it so beautifully.
I am still packing as our family moves for the first time in 23 years, but I have taken a couple of breaks to create. You, my friend, are the guest chosen to receive the "Light of the World" tags. Yay! ;)

Hi dear Celeste!
Soooooooo beautiful those roses! What a sweet thing to do for you. Those roses are gorgeous! And the card too! That book!! I have it too! Isn't that a coïncidence?! A former friend gave it to me years and years ago and I love the short uplifting stories in it. I sometimes read the book when I feel depressed and it helps a lot. It also helps to believe and put your feet on the ground but on the other hand believe in miracles to come. What lovely that you mention this book!! ;-D
I hope all is well with you! Happy holiday dear!
Blessings,
Ingeborg
