Centered for Springtime

Dressing the tables in my home for the seasons,
 is always so much fun.

Creating something unique~

filling a small space to

enjoy while having meals,

or taking a seat to visit  with a friend over a cup of tea.

****

Recently I purchased a wonderful real nest with faux bird's eggs
from my dear friend

Donna created real lifelike bird's eggs to complete the nest
for her shop on etsy.
They are so real looking in color and speckles.

When I saw the nest in her shoppe,
I knew it would be the perfect addition to a centerpiece
for my dining room.

Look how beautiful it is and the eggs so real looking.

Adding to a vintage silver tray,
I added a gorgeous white distressed ceramic bird.

Hydrangeas dried from my garden last year,
along with a couple old spindles with lots of distress.

Topping the tray filled with treasures
I've added  a gorgeous large hand crocheted
table topper.

So pretty centered on the table for springtime.

Loosely built, we think it may be a Cardinal's nest.

We have one similar nested in my rose arch this season.

Maybe I will be able to collect that one later in the summer,
once the family has moved on and not in use any longer.

****
Thank you Donna for creating such a pretty accent
perfect for my centerpiece idea.

Wishing you all a great weekend.

I'm off to sit with a cup of tea and enjoy my centered
creation.

Hugs,

Celestina Marie

What a beautiful vignette you have created, Celestina! I am thrilled that my nest and eggs have found such a happy home:) And I am drooling over your gorgeous dried hydrangeas, I wish that I had better luck growing them. Doesn't everything look better when placed on a silver tray? Oh, and I adore your pretty crocheted runner, I have a vintage one that is of a similar pattern.

Celestina,
I saw a bird nest with blue eggs just like this a couple of years ago and took a picture of it. It reminded me of my three kids. Your white little birdie is so pretty. That looks like a real bird coming out of the nest. Your table displays are so inspiring. I went to Hobby Lobby today because I've been wanting to create something lately, maybe because it's the start of spring.

Have a nice weekend.

Love,
~Sheri

So cute, yep those eggs look as real as the nest. I am such a slug, I never change my center piece. Oh, guess what I found a HUGE bag of patterns today at the thrift! I think that is so crazy, since I never see them, they were on my mind though after seeing your wreath.

What a precious vignette! You do have the eye for putting things together in such a pleasing manner. I, too, love bird's nests and all other things related to birds. I have added vintage binoculars to one my vignettes along with an old child's book on bird identification. Just loved it! Thanks for sharing!
