Going South~

Welcome to another

Looking back on my trip to
The Silos
at
Magnolia Market,
I found some great country side scenes.

Like this one~
Goats enjoying life and grazing away!!

Barbed wire fencing that seemed to go on forever.

A few took a moment to look up and say hello.

Then went right back to mowing the pasture!!

This is not the fence the goats are behind,
but thought this up close fence was interesting
to see how it was made.

I was really trying to capture a shot of the deer running through the field,
but this deer was too fast for me to get a good photo.
So the fence design will have to do.

Hi Celeste! I like your barbed wire fences and especially what's behind them. Those little goats are so sweet. I have a friend who has a farm in west Texas and they raise goats and have recently had a slew of baby goats! Hope you're doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I always breathe a deep sigh of contentment when I see open fields like this & herds of animals grazing calmly! The fence knots are really cool too!
Have a great day!

I'm going to Waco, TX to see the silos in April. So excited. Love the goat fence - looks like lots of lines of barb...they must try to get out...lol

Sometimes, what we are trying to capture just doesn't resonate well; but the thing that is so close we can't even really 'see' it - becomes the highlight and focal point : )!?
Life can be that way. This is such a cool fence. I maybe have seen this style a 100 times, but never noticed the interesting 'tie'; until now~ Thanks for sharing friend! Have a blessed week-end. Karen O

Beautiful fences. You've made me so aware of the beautiful fences we normally just look over.

Thanks for the awareness!

That last fence is a work of work. Intricate work. I would not be able to get a good shot of a running deer either. They are just too fast. Have a good week-end.

I just love barbed wire fences...and even more when there's cute little guys & gals like these behind them! :)

I like how they are checking you out, it does amaze me how many miles those fences go on and how they have to ride around and make sure they are maintained. Too bad you weren't able to get that deer clearer, then can go so fast, but you ended up with a great closeup of the fence :)

Hello, Dear Celeste, those are the cutest goats with their black faces. Nice to see they are safe behind that sturdy fence, too. Interesting to see how the wire fence was made - seems like a lot of work went into it! Hope you are having a lovely week, my dear. Hugs xo Karen

I love goats! I've never seen any with markings just like that, looks like their heads were dripped in black paint:) Looks like it was a beautiful day with bright blue sky. How fun that you spotted a deer, too!

What sweet looking goats behind that barbed wire fence.
I also like the design of the other fence and I did see the deer you were trying to capture...they can be quick.

Good evening, Celeste! I love goats. I can't wait for spring to go and see the horses out in Stillwater, on the boarder of Minnesota and Wisconsin. SO MAGICAL!

Celeste,
You hit my happy button with this Thursday's good fences because I love Goats, Sheep too. Hey the twisted construction of the wire fence has inspired me to attempt making a wire basket. Hmm now what gauge wire?!
Have a happy Friday my friend.

always love your photos, as we don't have those kind of open spaces up here...so flat---I do recall seeing a barbed wire/fence exhibit...I think it was a 4-H thing at the county fair...who knew how many types there were. Thanks again, have a beautiful weekend...still waiting to pull the last candycane and poinsettias out of my pots....waiting...waiting...waiting...lol Sandi

Should have been titled BAD fences!!! Barb wire is very dangerous for any animal to be contained! I live on a farm and have seen animals badly cut from them!!!!! Toooo bad !

Aaaaahhhhh, precious goats. I just took a drive out in the country, and saw some goats myself. They were white and soooo cute. It seems like you enjoy the outdoors very much, Celestina, and that's a wonderful thing. :)
