Your Room's Ready

When we left off your visit on the staircase, I promised to share with you my redecorated guestroom ready for a holiday stay.

The furniture is from 1945, art deco and the wedding set of my mother and dad. It remains in very good condition and I have had it in my care for nearly 14 years now. I turned the wardrobe into a TV cabinet.
Vintage ornaments accent a very special plate that my grandfather created in the 30's from the Mississipi Glass Company in PA. I'll be sharing something special with this plate in a later post.
This vintage radio is from the late 40's and the first form of entertainment in my parents home before the television. I just love it and the wooden shoes on the top are a pair from France my father brought back from the war. They are a real treasure. The old vintage prints are one of my favorite sets.
Thank you for being my special guest. I hope you enjoy your stay.
Wishing you~All A Good Night!
Blessings and Merry Christmas Eve!

I love your Guest Room Celeste. I can tell that you put much love and care into placing each item in that room...and adding all the "pretties" that you're so famous for. Anyone spending the night, would be so comfortable, I'm sure.

Merry Christmas,
Jan ♥

Merry Christmas Celestina to you and your family. Your guest room is beautiful and I can remember seeing pieces of furniture like that. It is truly wonderful seeing the vintage furniture. I remember the old radio's and listening to them during my childhood. We would sit on the floor in front of it. I can still see visions of that. I have enjoyed your post and I enjoyed your post about the rosary. I have several that belonged to my mother-in-law. They were so pretty. Have a wonderful Christmas. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.

What a gorgeous guest room, Celestina! I bet your visitors won't want to leave:) The bedding is beautiful, and I love how you have so many family treasures, too. My parents had a bedroom set similar to yours, my mom still has it, in fact. Those shoes from France are neat, too! Merry Christmas to you!
