Fathers and Faithful Followers

Happy Father's Day and all good wishes for a special day blessed with time to enjoy, relax and reflect.

This day has me missing my own dear Father,
but I know he is safe in the arms of our Lord and I can forever hold close his wonderful memory.

God blessed me, not only with a dear devoted dad, but a wonderful beloved husband,
who is an excellent father as well.
To this day, I gives thanks to the two hero's in my life.
First my Father and then my own Best Guy!!

Best Friends my dad and I, right from the start.

Sharing a laugh and fun times.

Our Christmas holiday tradition to visit Santa together.

Always working on a project for our home.

Retiring after 33 years with the Ford Motor Company.

Teaching his grandson, my son, how to do wood working.

Just as My Best Guy has always worked and built our life and home.

Sacrificing to go back to college while working, raising our family and graduating with two degrees.

And a proud and faithful Father when our son graduated from college.

Just as my dad was so proud of him and the wonderful way he has always taken care of our family.

Showing him, his son in law,
his Fatherly care, knowing his dad passed away when he was only 15.
While my dad  would not begin to try and replace his father, he filled an emptiness in his heart.

Below is my hubby on the left and my father on the right.

With all made possible by the grace of God and HIS faithful direction.
Two wonderful men blessed from above to be Fathers and Faithful Followers of God.

The above picture is December 1997,
our last picture together with my dad.
He would pass away 10 months later, my dear mother lived only 22 months longer.

Life changed completely from that point on,
but the love and learning's will stay with us forever,
as we are so thankful for the memories that sustain us, till we all meet again.

Happy Father's Day to the great men in my life and to the greats in yours.

Blessings and Blue Skies Be Yours

Love,
Celestina Marie

A warm and beautiful read and photo story this morning dear Celestina. I especially related to the photo of your dear father working on a home project with a pipe in his mouth. My father was a genius in the garage, and with his pipe always sending what looked like puffs of ideas into the air, as I observed his creative spirit. Dad's can be this way....protective, builders, problem-solvers, nurturers in a different way from moms, and unforgettable.

Have a marvelous weekend with your husband and son! Anita

What a wonderful post and tribute to your dad, as well as your hubby and son. I think you must have inherited your dad's talent to build and design:) I loved seeing your family photos. It sure is hard losing parents, but you are right, one day we will be reunited. Both of your parents would be so proud of you.
Big hugs to you, hope tomorrow is a special day at your house!!

What a beautiful post, Celeste! And the pictures are awesome! It's so fun looking at old photos.

I still have both my parents. They are 74 and 77 (just turned) and in good health. I feel so blessed to still have them, as so many of my friends have already lost 1 or both of their parents.

Have a great week.

Patti

Celestina,
What a wonderful post this is honoring your beloved father and husband. I smiled when I saw the old pictures of your dad. I have always thought that the black and whites were treasures. Your husband graduating got me thinking of dear Jess this last weekend when she got her Masters degree in Teaching. You are blessed with such a great family. And I understand how much you miss your dad, as I lost mine about 25 years ago. They are always with us though. I enjoyed looking at your past pictures. It was a treat for me, as I love pictures.

Have a blessed week, Celestina.

love,
~Sheri
