Will It Be An Early Autumn?

Hi Friends~
We are still having hot temps here but you can tell by the air, wind and flowers,
fall is on the way.

We need rain and hope that arrives soon too.

I like to make a transition into the new season with a few early touches,
by changing out accents and even wall decor, which I will share in a later post.
This season I am enjoying the soft hues of light creams, browns, rust and greens.
Door greetings sharing the season coming and going~
A little angel placed among my dishes is there is say hello everyday.

Wheat stalks fill an empty corner.

Dried roses from my garden fill a vase and instantly they fit in with Autumn.
Books are ready to curl up with like visiting with an old friend.

It's the little touches that make it special.

Adding a few simply pumpkins to my collections
just change the feel and look of a room.

Are you adding a few early Autumn touches?

The new season will be here soon whether were ready for it or not.
I am looking forward to it, are you?

Wishing you
Southern DayDreams

Good Morning, Celeste. It is still hot in Georgia but I am beginning to see signs of Autumn. It is my favorite season. I love your fall décor. I have been enjoying fall scented candles lately.
Wishing you a very nice day.

I just adore the autumn season! Today is a blustery day here with leaves falling all over the place. I really like the soft browns, rust, creams and greens you've used to decorate this season. It looks so warm and inviting.

Love your autumn touches, Celeste. I haven't added any in yet. This week is supposed to feel cooler and even next week, so I'm not sure if it will be early here or not. I am sure we will get that last hot week at some point though.

This is wonderful. I spent a few hours in the gardens yesterday morning weeding, watering and putting summer items away! Though the weather is still warm, SCHOOL has taken over my time and I just can't let weeds grow!

My friend, thank you for coming to visit me. I think many people are stopping blogging, visiting, or are too busy like US! But to see a new comment is so refreshing. Thank you!

I can't wait to get out my white pumpkins, but probably not until the end of September - it's still too warm here!

Have a super Monday. Anita

It's surprisingly warm and sunny here in the UK for this time of year and I'm enjoying every extra minute of sunshine. I'm not quite ready to welcome autumn although I will enjoy those rich colours and lighting scented candles in the cooler evenings. You have added some lovely touches to your home and those dried roses are particularly beautiful.

Good morning Celeste - Autumn is my favorite season of all! I love the air and how it feels and smells and I love the colors the plants and trees become. Your Autumn additions to your decorating are absolutely beautiful. I seldom decorate seasonally, decorating for a Holiday is enough for me. I'm still stuck with alot of regular home decorating to do, that I didn't get done before BP hit again! It seems those things are taking a back seat to other things.

Have a wonderful week...

Hugs,
Jan

Celeste,

Philadelphia this past week had temps in the 90's - this week mid 70's to the mid 80's summer is defiantly not easing into fall ;-) I am slowly because of the weather adding touches of Autumn into our row-home.

I love your color palate and Rust tones is my favorite color. I totally agree, it is the little touches that make it special. Your charming vignettes are beautifully thought out and enhance the beauty of your home. I always enjoy when you put up a new post because your personality shines through your decor.
XO,
Vera

It has finally cooled down here, so I put my autumn wreath out and changed out my dishtowels and potholders so far. I have some orange decor that I'm not going to be using, I really like your white pumpkins and more soothing palette. Am going to try and make some creamy fabric pumpkins, and go natural. Yours looks so soothing, and reminds me why I don't want to put out the bright orange things.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Love the fall touches especially the lighter colors. I'm enjoying a wee start to my deco. It's cooling down here especially at night. I've seen some trees with color but it's hard to say how fast the rest of them will come on.

Oh dear, I am not ready to let go of summer even though I would love some relief from the unrelenting heat this summer and good RAIN!!!

I am so ready for Fall. All we have had is HOT HOT weather and humidity also due to the hurricanes in Baja that come up our way, but no rain here.
Your decorating for fall is very lovely - love all the soft colors.
I am hoping to start tomorrow. I have been working on my closet. I have three large trash bags with clothes, shoes and purses that are
going to SA. Since I am retired I no longer need all that stuff.
Looking forward to seeing more of your fall decor.
Have a great week.

I am very much looking forward to autumn, and I have already done all my decorating. I did it over the weekend. Generally, September 1st, or the first weekend of September, I decorate for the season. My fall stuff will stay up until I decorate for Christmas in December. (Unlike the majority of people, I refuse to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. So I generally wait until the first weekend of December.)

Your decorations are beautiful. Those cream-colored pumpkins are particularly lovely.

Blessings,
Patti

Love all of your sweet Autumn touches. I too am looking forward to a new season. We've had quite a bit of rain over the past few days and it has cooled things down a bit but I am afraid that it will be back in the 90's by the weekend in my neck of the woods. Looking forward to cooler weather. Maybe then I can at least think about doing some fall decor! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Celeste,

I really do love your color scheme...it's very much what I like to do in the fall. My home is very neutral and I love colors from nature, soft colors. Bringing the outdoors in! Your pumpkins and gourds and wheat really say, "Fall!". I will miss summer though. It was wonderful. I hope we get an Indian Summer! But it's fun to add our fall touches, I do little by little and move things around a lot! Ha!

Thank you so much for coming by today, I treasure your comments! :)
